4 DGO days in a row *edit*

We’re about to have 4 DGO days in row.  DGO days are what I call "Dont Go Out Unless Absolutely Necessary" days, or Don’t Go Out days (hence, DGO).  Tomorrow we’re getting 3-5 inches of snow during the day (but with as bad as they’ve been at forecasting snow this year, who knows how much we’ll actually get).  So tomorrow’s a day not to drive on the roads unless necessary.  Friday is going to be windy, we’re going to get another 1-2 inches of snow in the morning and early afternoon, and then temps and wind chills are going to plummet, so that for most of the afternoon we have wind chills in the -10 to -20 range.  Saturday our high is 1 degree above zero, with windchills in the -15 to -30 range during the day with little improvement on Sunday.  We’re finally under a snow advisory for tomorrow’s snow, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up under a wind chill advisory for Friday afternoon/evening  through probably Monday morning.  The weather guys are all saying that from Friday afternoon/evening onwards through Monday morning, we’ll be lucky to have wind chills climb above -15 or -20.  Depending upon just how much snow we get, we may end up even colder than that (3"+ of snow on the ground means much colder temps – we’re just under that threshold right now)  Can you say BRRRRR?

It’s official – we’re not headed down to visit my grandparents.  My dad wants nothing to do with the cold – he intends to stay indoors both Saturday and Sunday (my mom and I would as well, except we have church on Sunday).
