*Crossing my fingers*
I am crossing my fingers (and I hope all of you do as well!) that I get a temp position the temp agency just called about. For those unfamiliar with how temp agencies work – they look for positions and then call you to gauge your interest when they find one that they think would fit with your scores and background. So I got a call from them today about a position. The position is with a company that my brother was placed at a few summers ago (again through this temp agency). It pays $10.75/hour. Hours are 8-5:30 M-Th, with 8-12:30 on F ((figuring on 30 minutes for lunch, works out to 40 hrs/week still). I’m okay with the 9 hour days then because it gives me Friday afternoons off. It’s an indefinite temp position, but probably in the range of 4-5 months. I would probably need to commit to that long, but it’s okay because it would give me a chance to save money and really prepare for moving out later this year. It’s strictly data entry, so it’s good 🙂 It’ll probably be boring, but it’ll still be a good opportunity for me. So please, pray or cross your fingers or whatever you do and hope I get the position! I should know pretty quick – the agency is going to send over my resume and test scores (when you register with a temp agency, you do some testing stuff – mostly typing) and it doesn’t sound like they’re going to do in-person interviews and the start date would be the 21st of January. I’d been praying I would find a job through the temp agency and it sounds like this is the answer to my prayers!
