First Measurable Snowfall

We’re under a snow advisory from 3pm today through 3am tomorrow.  It will be our first measurable snowfall of the season.  We’ve seen frozen precipitation already this fall/winter, but this will be the first time we get any measurable snowfall.  It looks like we’ll end up with 2-3 inches by sunrise tomorrow morning.  A white Thanksgiving….it’s been awhile since we had one of those  around here – they’re even rarer than getting a white Christmas (we don’t usually have a white Christmas since most of our snow comes after Christmas).

I’m in the process of getting a cold, and as such I strongly suspect I’m not headed down for the family Thanksgiving and that has me really bummed.  My grandmother’s going to be there (along with lots of other people that are around here) and I can’t afford to get any of them sick.  *Sigh* and I haven’t seen my grandmother since the weekend after Halloween…plus my uncle is coming up as a surprise and I haven’t seen him in several years (he lives in Arkansas). Oh well…
