A few things
I’ve made a decision: from now on, I will leave people notes only when I have something substantial to say. This should cut down quite a lot of time on OD, I hope.

The DiaryMaster is very active these days. We can look forward to some welcoming changes and additions to OD very soon. For details, please visit boards.opendiary.com, where ideas and suggestions are discussed and debated in a very lively fashion. Everything is in English though.

I’m starting my second batch of Use of English compositions. I’ll post the most entertaining ones up here (hope I get some), so that everyone can have a laugh. But is it immoral to ±N¦Û¤vªº§Ö¼Ö«Ø¿v¦b¦Ò¥ÍªºµhW¨¤W¡H¡H

I’m currently re-reading The Da Vinci Code. Why? Because I’m waiting for the movie to open on May 18, and I got so impatient that I just had to read the book again! I’m such a fan of the novel, I’m hopeless. Yeah, I know, I’m a shallow guy to go for such cheap thrills, but I do think the story is very well-written. Yeah, I know, I’m a Christian, and I should be offended by the book, right? No, why should I? Those who have strong faith will not be swayed by a novel. Non-believers continue to not believe. The only difference would be for those who feel uncertain. If anything, the novel is likely to make them want to search for the truth by reading more about their religion. That can only be a good thing. Or am I too naive?

Hey! There are a lot of diarists here who speak Chinese… we should have a Chinese-language forum on the boards.

I read Da Vinci Code a while ago, just remember a little about it now. May be it is good this way, so could enjoy suspense of the movie more.

I love Da Vinci Code too! (It’s much better than the rest of the novels by Dan Brown though…) The story is just so addictive!
Warning Comment
I read The Da Vinci Code, but it’s like…a year ago… I’m looking forward to the interesting compositions than the movie =p
Warning Comment
My God… do you mean those compositions are from F3 or F5 students ? :oP

You need time for yourself. Don’t worry. You should only be leaving notes if you feel like you have something to say. ((HUGS)) I am looking forward towards the movie as well *smiles*

The Da Vinci Code… controversy cause the author is so good at mixing the actual setting and the fiction aspects…I admire you when you said why should you be offended by the book when you have a strong faith in God. Apart from the novel, there are many nowadays that are trying to turn our faith upside down or at least shaky, as a Christian, like for example the Judas Gospel? The bottom line is

how close one’s relationship with God is and how much s/he experiences God everday…well, challenges that we, Christians, should face! BTW, I am so looking forward to watching the DVC movie!
