No Time, There’s Never Any Time…

So the busy season begins. The wedding in Boston was wonderful. It was nice to see some things again, as well as people. Now, I have to kill myself getting ready for school to start.

And I don’t even have a room to get ready. I have tons of lesson planning to do. I have to go to the teacher store and spend money that I don’t have. I want to start out being organized and thorough, but organization costs money.

I have been told that my biggest problem will be assertiveness. It is completely true that you win or lose your class on the first day. I am not planning a lot of content for those first two days (we start on Thursday). It will mostly be to go over policies and procedures and to establish routines.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous…

Just saw your entry on the front page…What grade will you be teaching? I’ve been pondering a teaching career (among others) recently…any advice for a possible- wannabe-maybe-teacher?

THIS Thursday?? That is so early!

im very excited for you. It is so grown up to be teaching big kids. Good luck!!

Tom goes through that every year. We’re broke by the end of the summer and he has things to get for his class before he starts getting paid. It totally sucks. I can’t believe how little money this country puts into actual classroom education, you know? Missed reading you, btw….
