Weird Situation

So, Calesha informed me a couple of days ago that she received a rather odd phone call on her parents’ home phone. Apparently a female called, asked if she could speak to Calesha, and then proceeded to inform Calesha that she was both a horrible filthy slut and a man-stealer and hung up on her. The call was from an unlisted number and she’s gotten 2 similar calls since with the same general theme of calling her a slut and telling her that she’s a “man-stealer,” with one of the conversations apparently going on for about 5 minutes, complete with threats to kick Calesha’s ass. So. There are three possibilities about the whole situation.

1) Some crazy girl is calling Calesha and it has absolutely nothing to do with her dating me.

2) Some crazy girl is calling Calesha because she is possessive of me for some bizarre reason.

3) Calesha is making the whole scenario up and she is actually the crazy girl.

None of the scenarios really seem to fit very well. #1 is admittedly possible just because obviously I don’t know everything there is to know about Calesha, but she insists she can’t imagine who could be doing this and I am definitely sure that she isn’t seeing any other guys and hasn’t seen any guys recently –  she’s so extremely available that it just isn’t happening. Which basically means, if there really is a jealous girl out there who is calling her, it almost has to be due to me.

However, that scenario (while perhaps the most plausible?!) still doesn’t make a lot of sense, because who do I know who is crazy enough to do that? Anyone who is a Facebook friend would be capable of it since her full name is available there and with enough research you could find her home phone number with that, but it would also involve quite a bit of trouble. And, while obviously there’s no one that I’m friends with who I think would be bizarrely obsessed enough with me to do this, people are strange and you never really know what to expect from them. Needless to say, if anyone who is reading this is the one doing it, stop it! Seriously. It’s not cool.

The third scenario is perhaps the strangest one, and I really have no reason to think that Calesha is making it up at all (it just seems like an odd thing to make up!) but some of my friends have suggested to me that females are strange and do things like this. Still, on the whole (even if I have written about how she’s odd in certain ways), her behavior isn’t consistent with the type of person who would make a story like this up. Which, again, doesn’t mean it isn’t possible, but it just doesn’t seem to fit.

So, yes. There is the situation. I appreciate any and all thoughts that you leave below.

And, no, it isn’t Heather calling

Interesting. I can’t imagine how someone who knew YOU would be able to get HER number unless they were friends with both of you, unless perhaps you were out with someone (cough, DONNA, cough) who may have looked in your phone and taken the number. 🙂 Just kidding. Really, I can’t come up with any real explanation for it. Good luck with that, though. *hug* i get on my plane tomorrow.eep!

I have a feeling it’s either 1 or 3. Most likely 3.

September 16, 2008

Don’t stress too much, it could anything, not limited to those three. It’ll work itself out eventually.

Did she say it was a girl? Maybe it was Michael.

it was me, i confess. but i was doing my sarah palin imitation.

i doubt it’s three. who would make this situation up? i mean really. granted, i don’t know your situation, but i do know that some girls can be ridiculously crazy, and probably (maybe, probably) someone’s actually harassing her. also, it’s unfair to assume she’s lying (which i know you haven’t assumed, but i see previous noters); she hasn’t given you reason to believe she’s a liar. <3

(has she?)

That’s weird. But just because she’s “extremely available” doesn’t mean she isn’t seeing other guys. I mean, when Wine Guy found out that I’d seen Whistling Boy he said something like, “When did you have the time for that?” making me think that he thought I’d been with him in most or all of my spare moments. Anyway, we all already know that Calesha is crazy. So, problem solved. : ) ~I’ll be

ryn: fine, you win. but, srsly, just this once. <3

Hi Matt, I got the feeling it is #1 or #2 unless Calesha has MPD (multiple personality disorder). From what I gather, there is someone who obviously doesn’t like Calesha. It could be someone at you guys’ workplace. Didn’t you say that you and Calesha work at the same work place? You could have a secret admirer, and/or this person hates Calesha, and she is venting her frustrations out on her. At any case, just watch your back and tell Calesha to watch her back as well. I am being serious about this. There are lot of freaks and crazy asses out there (we all know); I am not saying don’t panic yet, but if Calesha continues to get these bitch calls, you might want to suggest to her to take matters seriously and contact the authorities–IF the problem persists….

People are crazy.

Maybe it’s option 4 and she has a former friend who just wants to mess with her. Though I guess she would have recognized her voice so that is highly unlikely. Hopefully this is the first and only time it happens and the situation will disappear.

Ugh…that is weird…NO idea…

yeah, i truly did lose $65,000. but it seems unreal still, since it was all wrapped up in stocks and it wasn’t like i was in my counting house, counting it every day, haha.

RYN: Matt, It really depends on what kind of sexual crime that your cousin committed. There are people who are serial pedophiles who do this for years, even decades, and harm children. Yet, there are also people who are first time offenders, and some didn’t know what they were doing. In your cousin’s sitaution, I think that for the justice system to be fair, they should hear his side of the story and ask him. They should give him a just sentence. When I wrote my letter to our Senators, I had in mind the serial molesters who do this to young, young children–babies even–to be punished serverly. There are some who do these crimes, and I think that they want to be rehibiliated…and even with the some, I think that is even rare. Yet, I do think a majority of these people who commit this crime should be punish to the full extent. There is a difference between doing this all the time and doing it once, and a person might not be aware of the problem. ~Sophia

That’s pretty horrible, poor Calesha. None of those options seem likely. The only person I can think of who’d have a problem with Calesha is your mum! I’m sure you think that’s absurd… Hope you can sort things out with Erin.
