Valentine’s Day

The one day of the year that I’m happiest not to have a girlfriend on. I’ve never actually had a proper Valentine and, thus, have spent my life avoiding the headache of wasting $100 on bloody candies and flowers and hoping my girlfriend didn’t want a stuffed bear instead. I swear it’s the worst holiday and am thankful to have avoided participation this far into my life.

Speaking of getting far into my life, I had a birthday the other day – forgot to mention it on the diary. I didn’t do anything to celebrate. I could have asked some friends from class to do something, but I was too embarrassed to admit to them that it was my birthday and I didn’t have any plans. My best birthday present by far was Kate joining facebook and leaving flirtatious comments on my wall, though. Now all my facebook friends will doubtlessly see me as more desirable.

I’m feeling a bit depressed tonight. I’ve had a good go at being more social, but I still have a permeating loneliness hanging about me. I still feel a little hopeless sometimes. Hopefully it’s just a passing sour mood. I suppose doing nothing for your birthday probably doesn’t help, though that’s more my own fault than anything. As are most of my problems, for that matter.

Aw, Matt! I hope you know I would do almost anything for you (hello, I joined facebook for you). I’m glad I was able to make your birthday a somewhat positive experience. Next year will be better. Also, you read my mind with that last paragraph.

The only thing that Andrew I did was exchange cards. Well, I give him cards. He forgets things like that. But I LOVE Valentine’s Day! I think that it’s great! I really don’t understand why people hate Valentine’s Day so much. HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY MATT!!!

Matt! I assumed you were doing something, otherwise I would have called you! You go out right now, young man, and celebrate your life! Don’t make me come down there!

Oh, yes, Happy Day! to you. xoxoxoxoxox

PS: I meant I would have called you on your birthday. I need to start being more specific when I talk…

Happy birthday a few days late. This is the first year I’ve had a boyfriend on Valentine’s Day. We agreed no gifts. And as for going out I made the plans. He didn’t have to do anything but show up and dress properly. Haha. TTFN and have fun, ♥ Andrea

Go Kate 🙂 Also, happy birthday. Even if it wasn’t the happiest, I hope the year makes up for it.

Hey, I’ll add you on facebook and leave you flirtatious comments if you want. What’s your facebook? (I was kidding about the flirtatious comments part, or was I?) 😛

I’m sad I missed your birthday! Also, I tend to agree with you about the holiday. It was just a Thursday, and I worked until 9, and I didn’t want to do the Valentine thing, I wanted to sleep.
