Ah, Christmas
So, Christmas went off as a pretty ordinary day for me, as unfortunately there were no surprise gifts from my father (see past entries for records of my receiving such classic gifts as a helium tank and miniature air hockey game from him). Rather I received the usual array of shirts, pants, and socks. But no underwear. Take from that what you will.
Anyway, I basically just spent the Christmas day watching the The Squid and the Whale DVD that I bought myself (which is excellent) and finished the evening off by watching football games. Not exactly an exhilarating way to spend the most joyous of holidays, no, but I didn’t really mind it. Other than that my beloved Atlanta Falcons’ slim playoff chances took another hit, of course.
This is mostly just a requisite update – nothing incredibly eventful has occurred in my life recently and is unlikely to while I’m still on holiday break. On the upside, the likelihood of eventful things happening may well increase next semester as Kyle has a new job writing for a local entertainment newsletter and, thus, will be required to be out and about more often and is likely to insist upon dragging me along with him. My understanding is that he’s going to be specializing in night life somehow, which should prove interesting if nothing else.
For one, Kyle’s constantly assuring me that people are much friendlier when they’re drunk, so I’m like to have plenty of opportunities to chat up college girls. Now, whether this is a positive thing or not is highly debatable . . .
Oh, more entries about “dropping it like it’s hott” may be in the near future!? How exciting! Haha.

What is the world coming to when your father doesn’t give you an outrageous gift? I’m a bit disappointed, if I’m being completely honest. Oh well, better luck next year. Perhaps you didn’t get any underwear because your mother couldn’t find them in the Chaps brand? Hmm… could be… -K

As for the thing with Kyle, it sure will be interesting. 🙂 And, The Squid and the Whale is so fantastic. I love slice of life movies. 😀 Have you seen Winter Passing? It’s another good movie in a similar genre. And, Will Ferrell sings. He’s not his usual overly silly self, either. Just a bit weird. A helium tank?

Hooray for nightlife! What’s debatable about college girls? Should I be offended? We’re not that bad, really. Well, ok, maybe I can’t speak for all college girls, just the cool ones. RYN: wait . . . you grew up in a small Southern town and you’re afraid of climbing trees? REALLY? I admit, I’m shocked.

Don’t take a nap! Read the book.

Well, thanks. I’m just sort of sleeping and pretending life isn’t happening to me… until I fail all my exams and starve or whatever. Er look, I’m joking about this. When you say “college girls” as if they’re complete idiots, do you mean it like I mean “students” – ie girls without jobs? Or…?

There’s a local entertainment newsletter in Milledgeville? There’s entertainment in Milledgeville?
