A Diary Entry about My Diary Entries

Due to the tedium I continue to face with Heather still away (which has been helpfully lessoned by a fellow Open Diarist listening to me ramble nightly – thanks Brittainy!), I recently began to pillage through my entire diary, starting from the beginning. I hadn’t read most of the entries in quite a while, so it was rather fun – it’s always interesting reading your writing from a more detached view a while after it was written.

I admit, I was quite horrified due to starting from the beginning of the diary, as the first few months are rather worryingly bad, as I’m just outright annoying, though they do get a little bit better as time rolls along. I have discovered that the entries that I think are funny at the time I write them are, indeed, still funny to me in hindsight, whereas the entries I think are insightful at the time I write them I find to be pitifully stupid and uninformed in hindsight. Confirming that, while I am just as funny as I think I am, I’m not nearly as smart as I think I am.

At any rate, reading the entries has led me into a bit of thought. I’ve noticed that it seems I’ve been steering towards more “serious” and “personal” entries for a while now, as opposed to outright silliness, but I think I’ve been having less fun with the diary in the process. So, I’m going to try to find a happy medium in which I continue to write vague personal observations, while not being quite so serious all the time. We’ll see how it goes.

And, yeah, I just wrote a diary entry about my diary. Shut up.

That cracked me up. I never realised how irritating I am until I read my earlier diary entries. And even some of the recent ones. This entry definitely wasn’t too serious. Good balance. xx

No, thank you for listening to ME ramble on about that boy…

lol I try not to read my journal because then I think, “wow, did I really write that?” or “wow, I was overly dramatic”… It is fun to see how my writing style has changed though.

i’ve done that many times. (it’s much easier if you have a livejournal) 🙂 heh.

Silliness!

I mostly find I’m just as predictable as I think I am.

I personally miss hearing about what twats RFIMs were. Or noters were. Or some of the people in your classes were.

Aye, and Hunter’s the biggest cunt of the lot. Still, I was the one who did it.

About two years ago, Keshan offered me all sorts of sexual favours if I could manage to get her fired from her work by sending her dodgy emails, she hated the place so much. I tried really hard, but I don’t think these places monitor half as much as people think they do.
