My first time

Last Thursday Night, something extraordinary occurred. For the first time in history, I walked into a new sector. Admittedly, upon entering, I was a bit timid. Scared even. Still, I slowly stepped forward into the spotlight. And, then, I dropped it.

Like it was hot.

Yes, that’s right, Thursday night I traveled to my first real club, in which I enjoyed my first real opportunity at dancing. Oh, and, yes, I totally dropped it like it was hot. It was also my dear roommate Spider’s first trip to a club, however, I remain convinced that he was merely dropping it like it was a bit warm. Must work on that, Spider.

Anyway, this may not be entirely shocking to all of you dear readers, however, rest assured, it would be if you knew me personally. Really, I’d always presumed I would be entirely unable to dance, however, it’s rather easy. Granted, I’m not suggesting I’m good at it; I’m quite sure I’m rather horrid. But, really, suggestively moving your hips at the opposite sex isn’t that hard, is it? At least once you lose the whole self-consciousness aspect.

So, the lesson of this entry is: Dance like no ones watching. What, I’m allowed an occasional cliché, aren’t I?

mmm. i was also about town in and out of the clubs, and i did not see you, mister. *points* where were you?

bah. you fail to understand. in milledgeville, a ‘club’ is a place that serves alcohol and has music. so, technically, there is capitol city, the watering hole, loco’s, buffington’s, and only THEN is that all … 🙂

I love dancing, and usually a nice amount of alcohol drunk beforhand means that sense of self-awareness soon fades, and before you know it you are up there spelling out the letters to “YMCA”.

This entry quite possibly made my day, even though I’d already heard the story. Muahaha. The one, the only, -K

Oh yes, really it certainly does sound like fun. My, I fear I don’t know how to drop it at all. Really must show me how. Likely make you decide its best that some people never drop it. Yes, I’m certain I’m that bad. Oh but I can hula. . .
