The Triumphant Return

After what seemed liked months, maybe even years, my diary has finally been fully restored from those vicious attacks by the terrible unnamed hacker. Of course, we all know the truth (that George Bush was using the Patriot Act to de-habilitate my diary), but we’ll let the diarymaster off with his hacker story for now. Really, though, how gullible does he think we are?

Anyway, it was getting to the point that I was actually seriously considering – oh geesh I’m almost embarrassed to say this – starting another diary elsewhere. Now, when I think about it, I realize what a horrible idea that would have been, just leaving all of you wonderful people, but I have to admit the idea was there. The horror! The horror!

I’m sorry, let’s just not talk about that. I’m still here, and I’m here to stay, and really that’s all that matters, isn’t it? Oh, you loyal fans, you.

So, what have I been doing while the Opendiary service was unavailable? Thanks for asking. I’ve been doing quite a bit of reading – I’ve pillaged through Hearts of Darkness, The Puttermesser Papers, and Pudden’head Wilson alone – and I’ve also been watching a lot of movies. Oh, and I’ve been to the mall, TWICE! In fact, although I’ve lost track of time, considering that I’ve been to the mall twice since the diary went down suggests that the diary must have been unavailable for at least a quarter century. By my estimate, anyway.

Well, this entry was really meant more to serve as the forum for announcing my return than anything else, there’s no news otherwise. College starts in another 6 weeks. Go Bobcats!

Go Bobcats! Yes, really Matt, I’d no idea what it was I was going to note here those many years ago. Likely something I wouldn’t have signed anyways. Maybe a welcome back.
