I Say Doctor

When I’ve made coconut milk or goat milk soap in the past I’ve usually ended up with some leftover milk.  It’s too much to throw away so I pour it into a ziplock baggie and put it into the freezer.  Well, this weekend I was determined to use up all of the leftover milk.

I knew tha most of the milk was cocount, so I was figuring out what kind of coconut milk soap to make.  I had already decided to add shredded cocount to, and on top of, the bars but that didn’t seem like enough. What goes with coconut?

Lime.  That’s right, I decided to put lime in the coconut and twist it all up.

It smells so good that I was tempted to bite into it.

The tic marks on the paper are my guide for cutting the loaf into sixteen 1" wide bars.  The shredded coconut is mixed inside and spread on top.  It was a bit messy when I cut the loaf into bars and all the loose stuff on top went everywhere.

Mrs. Ender was making props to go with some American Girl dolls.  Before I poured my soap into the mold I filled up several small "glasses" into which she stuck mini drinking straws.  I made a batch of dark brown Pine Tar soap the day before and did the same
thing.  I have to admit, the first batch of glasses do look like miniature Cokes and these look like ice cream shakes.

It’s hard to tell from this photo, but those are really small.  And, it’s hard to see the coconut pieces that are ‘floating’ on top.

That’s a dime next to the cup.  These make drinking glasses that are perfectly to scale for an American Girl doll.  Now the dolls have drinks, but no soap.  I’ll have to offer up a piece of soap that can be shaved down to doll scale.

Other than that, nothing much to report.

Ender is out.

RYN: OMG, is that it? Ozone? Wow, thank you. Now I feel better! I was so worried.

ryn: Of course I am. It’s called dating older people with their own places 😉
