The Week(s) in Review
I don’t think there will be much quality in this entry, but makes me feel better to jot something down.
The heat broke. Now, it’s just regular July weather, which means hazy, hot and humid. The good news is that the hot part is down to only the high 80’s and low 90’s and the humidity is practically bearable.
Not much to report on my foot. Here’s how that goes:
foot..ouch..ouch..foot..doctor..ouch..naprosiin..ouch..foot..orthopedist..ouch..ouch..Xray..ouch..negative..order for MRI..ouch..get insurance approval..ouch..got it..foot..ouch..appointment on Sat…ouch.
With everything else just about eliminated, about the only remaining possibility is a stress fracture. So, I’ll walk away from the MRI with a CD full of MRI images. Does anyone know if those are viewable on my home PC? Maybe I should make a copy of the CD before I have my followup appointment with the orthopedist?
On July 3rd, Mrs. Ender and I got to go onto the field at National’s Park for batting practice, courtesy of 5K of the 10K all star ballots I punched. We’ll go a second time–for the second 5K ballots–sometime in August. It was really neat. Really neat. Did I mention how cool it was to be on the field within spitting distance of the players? You can’t ask for autographs or photos, but you can cheer or say encouraging things to them. When we were on the field I saw someone from college that is now on the National’s staff. He was too far away for me to (re)introduce myself, but I’ll keep my eyes open for another chance.
Here’s us on that hot (hazy, hothothot, humid) day.
Ender is out.
