A Survey for the New Year

First entry of the new year and it’s only the 5th of January.  I’m sorta surprised I’m writing so early.

Work has been kicking my butt, I have an appointment with HR tomorrow to file a formal complaint against my manager.  I’m just so tired of having to put up with the crap.  Let’s set some goals and then let me loose to do my thing.  I enjoy what I do and I take pride in my work.  I really, really don’t need a micromanager that doesn’t know what I do trying to tell me that I’m not doing it right.

Just writing that down make me feels better.  So now a survey.

1. What is the last alcoholic beverage you drank? I don’t drink, but I dipped my finger in the Everclear I was using to make soap and gave that a taste.  Kinda like rubbing alcohol wihout the happy ending.

2. Do you follow college football? No.  I went to a Division III school, so "sports" was often interchangable with "intramural."

4. Who was the last person to send you a text message? I don’t text, so it was probably the phone company.

5. Last time you went swimming in a pool? Years ago.  Nope, make that years AND years ago.  I’ll go TO the pool, but rarely IN the pool.  It probably is related to my ghostly white skin and sun exposure.

6. Are you happy? Yup.

7. Where was the last place you went shopping? The Hobby Lobby in St. Louis (St. Peter’s to be specific).

8. How do you feel about your hair? I like my hair, did I mention how clean it feels?

9. Where do you live? In a little house with Mrs. Ender and EnderKitty.

10. Last thing you ate? A bag of Fritos, the Original corn chips.  Why is chips plural on the bag?

11. Do you wish you were some place else right now? I can picture my bed with the extra blanket and a cat by my feet.  I’m not sure if that counts as a wish.

12. Last time you were kissed? This morning.

13. Do you have any expensive jewelry? I have some nice pocketwatches, but my most recent expensive "jewelry" is the new Montblac that Mrs. Ender gave me for Christmas.  I got her season tickets for baseball.

14. AIM or MSN? Neither, I just yell.

15. What classes are you taking now? None, but I’m always open to learning new things.

16. How many hours on average do you work a week? 40+

17. Who do you like right now? I’m not picky, I like(ish) everyone.

18. Favorite NFL team? I like the Redskins and whoever is playing Dallas.  I think whoever did better than the Redskins.

19. Do you watch the Olympics? Sure do, but the shear amount of Olympics programming makes me dizzy.

20. Last restaurant you went to? TGI Fridays in St. Louis, St. Peter’s actually, down the road a piece from the Hobby Lobby.

21. Who was the last person to call you? A vendor.

22. What’s your sign? For Rent

23. Do you have a favorite number? I like 13 because it was my grandfather’s favorite.

24. Last time you did volunteer work or made any donation? At the beginning of each month I send money to a family in Cambodia.

25. What do you spend the majority of your money on? Mortgage, but now that interest rate is 3.62% APR.

26. Where does most of your family live? DC Metro area.

27. Are you an only child or do you have siblings? I am the youngest of three, I have a sister and a brother.

28. Ever been called a hoe/$lut?  No, but what’s the male version of those?  I might have been called that.

29. Ever been called a bitch? Probably

30. Got any guilty pleasures? Sure do, should I list them alphabetically or from most guilty to least guilty?

31. Favorite kind of beer? I don’t drink, no favorite.

32. Have you ever experienced true love? I believe so.

33. Did you ever collect Beanie Babies? I received one beanie baby as a gift and now I don’t know where it is.

34. Ever bought anything? Anything?  How do that package that?

35. Myspace or Facebook? Neither, I’m an anti-social hoe/$lut.

36. Do you have T-Mobile? No, but I have a cold sore on my lip.

37. What was your favorite subject? Political Science.

38. Do you sometimes wish you were someone else? No, I’ve earned who I am and I’m comfortable with me.

39. Do you usually fall for the "bad guys/girls"?  Fall for?  No, but I wouldn’t mind falling ON one or two.

40. Were you an outcast in high school?  I wasn’t a member of any clique, but I wasn’t outcast either.

41. Last time you saw your parents? I saw my mom on Christmas.  I last saw my dad on the day he died.

42. Do you have any talents? I make a mean bar of soap and I’ve been know to knock the crap out of an Excel macro, or two.

43. Ever been in a wedding? Yes, mine and my sister’s.

44. Do you have any children? A step-son and a step-daughter and two grandchildren.

45. Last movie you watched? Larry Crowne.

46. Are you missing anyone at the moment? No

47. Did you take a nap today? No, but I will when I get home.

48. Have you made any phone calls today? Yes

49. Ever been on a cruise? No, Mrs. Ender is convinced she’d get seasick so we’ve remained ashore.

50. Favorite vacation spot? I like Ireland, Cambodia and Phoenix during Spring Training.

51. Favorite genre of music? I like particular movie scores and I have a nice collection.

52. Do you have any wealthy friends? Yes

53. Ever met anyone famous before? Me and Maury Povich were on the same golf cart and we were nearly hit by lightening.  I often wonder if he remembers that the way I do.

54. Favorite actor? None in particular.  If they are acting well then I don’t notice the actor behind the character.

55. Favorite actress? None in particular, see above.

56. Are you multi-tasking right now? Yes

57. Could you handle being in the military? No, but more importantly, the military would never have been able to handle me.  I think we make a good decision.

58. Are you hungry or thirsty? I just ate, but the fritos have made me thirsty.

59. Favorite fast food restaurant? I try to avoid fast food, but those Red Robin commercials make me think I’m missing something.

61. What is your average cell phone bill? About $70, I think.

62. Do you own a camera phone? Yes.

63. Ever had to take a sobriety test? No, but I failed the purity test.

64. Do you believe in Karma? Not karma exactly, but something similar.

65. Can you speak any other languages? No, I think I used that part of my brain to remember my junior high locker combination, which I still remember.

78. When is the last time you updated your blog? As soon as I finish this survey.

79. Do you have your wisdom teeth? No.  I never had any, seriously.  It seems to run in the family, although my bro and sis both got theirs and had to have them removed.

82. Favorite sit down restaurant? A small, local Italian place who’s name I can’t recall.

85. Last thing you cooked? I reheated the leftover Chinese food last night, does that count?

86. How is the weather today? Clear but cold (45).  Not as cold as yesterday (16!!)

88. Last letter/piece of mail you received besides junk or a bill? Nomination form for Alumni Achievement Award.  I don’t think I deserve it, but I’ll fill it out anyway.

90. Are you dating someone right now? Other than my wife?  No.

92. Do you drunk dial? No.  No drink, no drunk.

93. Stupidest thing you ever did with your cell phone? I really don’t use my cellphone for anything, not even calls.

94. What is the best city in the state that you have lived in? Maybe Ocean City?  Although I do hate the beach.

95. Favorite band? Nightnoise

96. Last time you were sick? I felt poorly just before Christmas, but I haven’t puked since I took the anti-Thyphus drug before travelling.

97. Are you bored right now? Almost.

98. Last concert you went to? I believe the year must have started with 198x, so I have no recollection.

99. Ready for the weekend? Yes, I’m gonna sleep that sucker away.

100. What did you do last night? Read the paper, did the crossword puzzle, watched some TV and snoozed.
