Pissy…

Hey All,

I’m in a pissy mood, and I’m not quite sure why.

Training ended today. We had our last "test" yesterday – I got 3 wrong which ended me up at 91.6% or something like that. We had our potluck lunch today. I was overstuffed by the end of it – and we got ice-cream-cake from Dairy Queen – yum! We also got our "completed training successfully" certificates – we get "certified" after 2 of our calls are reviewed and pass the minimum score. The whole class voted on who we thought deserved some awards, which also came with a $5 TimCard… Most Knowledgeable, Most Focussed, Best Team-Player/Builder, Best Listener, and one that was created by our class for this year was Most Improved. I got the Most Focussed award… which was cool, and I said thank you to the class. I don’t think it was a popularity vote because you had to pick people that you felt actually deserved these awards.

Anywho, my schedule for the next 2 weeks is 3:30pm – midnight with Thursdays & Fridays off. Half of the class got that schedule (the bottom half – last half of the alphabet for last names – whoopie) – the other half got 8:30am – 5pm with Saturdays & Sundays off. AND we were told that this will most likely be our shift until the end of March because that’s when the next site-wide shift bid will be. Yippidy-doo-dah.  Meh. The 3:30 to midnight shift actually is the better of the two shifts for us because it means I can help Pookie in the morning with the kids, and my mom will help him get the kids after school, and me at midnight too, if necessary.

Oh yeah, here would be a good time to mention that the big snowstorm – shitstorm – we had Thursday & Friday killed our car. On Friday I had Pookie drive me into work while my mom watched the kids (snow day), and the car over-heated twice on the way home, the 2nd time, he had to call CAA (Canadian Automobile Association) to get the car towed home. It wasn’t until today that we found out that our car didn’t need a boost (we haven’t used it since Friday because it wasn’t starting properly), but that the Serpentine Belt broke. It’s only a $40 fix thanks to his cousin, but we have to wait until this Friday to get it fixed, because the new part won’t be in until then, or his cousin is busy until then. Anyway… The other part for the car that was coming up from the States finally got there at his cousin’s work, so we’ll have the car fully fixed by next Friday, hopefully, at the latest. So… I guess the shift I got is a blessing in disguise.

To be honest, I think I’m a bit nervous about getting on the phone… not so much the phone part, but working the systems part. *sigh*

Oh… totally forgot to mention here that my next ultrasound appointment is the beginning of March (6th I think), and I should know what I’m having – boy or girl. I’m 17 weeks now, so I’ll be 20 weeks then. The suspense is killing me! LoL… not really. I don’t even look pregnant I’m so fat. I’m starting to feel the baby move around a bit though, so it’s cool… my main goal this pregnancy is to stay the same weight I started at. If I can lose weight, then that would be awesome, but if I manage to keep the same weight, I’ll still be happy.

Well I’m getting tired, so I better head to bed soon – or at least have more than a one-worded conversation with my husband (on my end)!
