Nesting…
Hey All,
OMG I feel like a bird with that terminology "Nesting." At least when it was ABAY (academy-bay) you didn’t feel like baby birds! Anyway… week one of transitioning from training to the phones (a.k.a. nesting, or ABAY) went as well as you could expect.
There was one phone call I ended as "Thank you for using OnStar." Whoops. Wrong job! I was so embarrassed, but but the customer wasn’t listening at that point anyway, so it didn’t *really* matter.
Then, on a different call, there was a woman I was trying to help program her remote control to her cable box. It programmed fine to her TV, but not her box. I admitted to her that I hate programming remote controls, and that I just use the remotes that come with the "things" they’re supposed to control, so I have 4 remotes at home. She laughed.
Yesterday I was helping a guy with his new HD cable box setup, and he admitted to being an impatient person. Well, I’m not going to lie, so I told him that I was impatient, too. He also told me he had been trying to get his box to work for an hour before he called, and that he now had a stiff drink in hand, so I replied, "That’s good! At least you’re relaxed!" Yep, fun times! I finally got his box to work for him, so he was happy. I like helping people fix their stuff. I guess Customer Service is where I’m meant to be. I liked the aspect of helping customers at my last job too, so maybe that’s why my quality scores were consistently high. I genuinely care.
In other news, we had a leak in the bathroom sink… actually we had two. The first leak was with the hot water, which Pookie fixed, and then almost immediately afterwards, the cold water started to leak. Pookie didn’t feel comfortable fixing that one because it was a bit rusty and sometimes he doesn’t know his own strength, so when he called the office, he asked if someone else could do it. Apparently it was just a loose nut! Haha. Sounds like a joke. Anyway, our bathroom sink is leak-free and we can use the water in the house again.I didn’t do my exercises yesterday because I didn’t want to get caught not being able to have a shower before work. I’ll do double today & tomorrow.
I found a penny last night as I was getting into my car. I wished on it. Yep. I wish on stars, and pennies, and think positive thoughts… I know it works. I don’t know how it works, I just know that it does. Something to do with positive repetition… so instead of saying "I wish I didn’t have debt," which is focusing on having debt, you would say, "I wish I was debt free," or "… financially free," or "… had extra money available," etc. Of course if you’re feeling bold, or need strong immediate reinforcement, then pick a "mantra." For example when my ex and I split, I was in a bad spot, so my mantra was (and sometimes still is), "I am happy. I am healthy. I am wealthy. I am beautiful." The mind is a powerful thing. Something to do with that 90% we don’t seem to use (according to research we only use 10% of our brain’s full capacity). Some call it magic. I don’t know what it is, but maybe we are telepathic, telekinetic, or something like that to some degree, so when we’re thinking of that stuff, it’s like a magnet and brings it to us. That’s why your wishes or statements need to be simplistic, and not have a negative in it since your mind isn’t visualizing the negative, it visualizes what you don’t like, but since you’re envisioning it, it attracts more. When you focus on the positive, for example, you envision having money instead of your bills or debt, so it attracts money instead of more bills or debt. Okay it’s almost 6:30am and I’m running on only 5 hours or so of sleep. I’m going back to sleep now because I’m rambling and probably not making a whole lot of sense.
