So Behind…

Hey All,

I’m liking the training at work. I’m also keeping up with my exercise, and with that I have to shower too because otherwise I just feel gross. We had an ‘exam’ on Friday to cover what we learned in the first week. There were 70 multiple choice questions. Nobody got perfect. I got 69 right. I think the trainer told me that only one other person got the same mark. I was nervous about the exam, only because there was quite a bit of technical mumbo jumbo, since that is going to be my role – a technical advisor for cable. We can also mention what may be the causes of any issues the customer is having for phone or internet, but it’s not technically our job, so we would still have to transfer, but at least we set the customer’s expectations. I’m glad that selling doesn’t seem to be an integral part of our job, although we are expected to help a customer upgrade or switch to the new plans, especially if that is their issue, "losing" channels, since cable is going digital. OMG I wish I had this company’s phone plan. THIRTEEN phone features; UNLIMITED local calling (well, most have this anyway, but it’s a selling point if someone only has a cell phone); UNLIMITED long distance within the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Guam. Oh yeah, those phone features? I can’t remember them all but it includes: Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Waiting Caller ID, 3-way calling, Custom ring tone, Call Forwarding, 1000 (yes, ONE THOUSAND) Directory Assistance calls per month, Voicemail, and 5 others I can’t remember at the moment. All of that for only $19.99 a month. W.O.W. Here’s the catch though, you have to have either cable, or internet, or both with them in order to get their phone service. Still, an awesome deal. Too bad they aren’t in Canada.

Anywho I got a squawking baby so I gotta go now.
