Autumn’s Fire…

Autumn leaves, when seen from a bird’s eye view,
act like blooms on trees, this season’s rainbow.
The summer’s green erased, supplanted by
a sultry glow.  Although with crisper days,
it’s Nature’s cruel joke the trees would appear
warmest in Autumn.  Their fiery leaves ablaze,
vibrant and bright, it gives me such delight
to feel such flame within my soul.
The smell of chimneys, lit to warm the homes,
the inviting scent surrounds, and I remember
saturated memories unleashed
by molten heart’s desire.  The setting sun
produces amber glow, its fire refracts,
enhancing richness seen on trees below.
