Unforeseen Consequences

How could I have been so stupid?
How could I have been so blind?
How could I have been so DRUNK,
The night that I was robbed?

I am so confused,
But you’re not just hurting me.
If this turns out the way I think,
It’ll hurt my whole family.

How could I have been so stupid?
How could I have been so blind?
How could I have been so CARELESS,
The night that I was robbed?

They say it takes two to tango.
It’s never just one person’s fault,
But someone should’ve been there,
To put the lock back on the vault.

How could I have been so stupid?
How could I have been so blind?
How could I have been so RECKLESS,
The night that I was robbed?

My life is turning upside down,
And spinning out of control.
I hope this isn’t what it seems,
And I’ll wake up and the sun will call.

BUT IT WON’T, BECAUSE…

Believe it, I was that stupid.
Believe it, I was that blind.
Believe it, I was that MINDLESS,
And life’s not always kind.
