Meet Again

We’ve had some great times, you and I
but now we must say good-bye,
not forever, just for a while, until we meet again.

You are to me
what the sun is to a flower or a tree.
You are constantly on my mind.

Your warm glow
brushes away my dark clouds of sorrow;
you always know how to make me laugh.

I’ve promised myself time and again that I wouldn’t shed another tear
over you, but it seems that I’m always breaking that promise, and I fear
that nothing I do
will get you off my mind,
and there will always be something that will remind
me of you.

We’ve had some great times together, you and I,
but now we must say good-bye,
not forever, just for a while, until we meet again.
