NoJoMo 1: Halloween

Despite the fact that the beginning of the month brought what was probably a good half foot snow total, that’s been freezing cold (the Tracker had ice on the windows INSIDE the one morning), and it’s rained more than it’s not (which has also pretty much killed my running at this point), Halloween night actually didn’t turn out too badly. Yeah, it was sprinkling, more often than not, and Harley’s shoes were soaked, as was my one boot (the other too, just somehow not as much), and everyone ended up a bit more than a little soggy (except for Mum who hid out in the car for the most part), it at least wasn’t freezing cold and windy. So we actually did some walking between the houses we could, so it wasn’t in and out, in and out of the car (which is so much more difficult that hoping out of the back of a hackback like usual). At the end Mum parked at one of her friend’s house and stayed there talking to them, as Sonja, Harley & myself wandered the last half-ish of town.
We all got a good haul. Way more candy than any of us needs. (Honestly, I’m feeling a bit candy burnt-out after eating what was left from Sonja’s party last week. I know, amazing isn’t it?)
Harley didn’t even complain about the cold (which, like I said, it really wasn’t too bad) and the wet.

I’m still struggling with the paper of evilness. Although I did get a bit more written this morning. Just hoping that my thought works, and he doesn’t end up telling me that it’s too much ‘story’ and that I need to do more ‘paraphrasing’ instead of telling. I need the telling to get my pages, at least in the first half of the paper. I know I will have to be more papery in the second half of the paper, I’m just having trouble with the whole motivation thing. As much as I want to write, I just don’t want to write this.

61 more days left of 365 Days of Art…Just had to go redo my count where my files are saved, as I realized I was a day off somwhere (August). [Crap…I just managed to zorch my coyote pic. *pouts*] I was going to finish one of the pieces I started the other day, but the day got away from me, so it’s going to have to wait again.

I was so not wanting to get up this morning.
Three day week-end tho…So hopefully get sleep all sorted out (just to mess it up again).
Harley’s birthday is next week, still need to get a couple things for him.

Tomorrow…Work on paper…I HAVE to get some more done on it. Even if I just manage a tiny bit each day, it’s something.
Crap, I have to get to work on a lesson plan & my final abstract done for Tuesday…*falls over* <—& this is why, reasonably, NaNoWriMo is out of the question. *sigh* No matter how much I wish it wasn’t.

So yeah…I need to go scrounge something that resembles food.
