Ethical concerns…

We have to make a lesson plan for my MAT 300 class that incorporates music into the curriculum.
I was wondering if there would be some kind of ethical issues with leading students on a shamanic journey…
I know 3rd grade studies Michigan’s Native Americans, and I think 5th grade does a more expansive look at Native Americans.
I just think it would be a good way to incorporate a bit of the culture, as well as music, into the lesson. BUT…I worry that it may not be considered appropriate.

On seperate notes…

Halloween:
Harley’s pants are now dyed…Not quite as dark as I had hoped, but they will work.
I found material that should work for Sonja’s tail & fin & belly…Now I just have to see if I can get along with the sewing machine. [I do really appreciate the thought that Wasil had in getting me a new one…But seriously, I wish he hadn’t. I liked my old one, and I knew how to opperate it without any trouble…This one…*sigh*]
& yeah…Think I’m just going to be Runner 5…Even if Mum said that wasn’t really a costume as I already am Runner 5.

& on the subject of Zombies, Run!
OMGs…I’ve heard & seen the commercials that tell parents "If you do something…Your children will do it too."
& it’s one of those things that, yeah, uh huh, you think you believe it, but don’t really expect to see it in action…If that makes sense.
ANYWAY…Sonja has started running! [Granted, I don’t know how long it’ll last, but just that she’s even started is impressive, as she hates running too.]
She’s done two of the mission in the 5k (in the last 2 days), and I had to talk her out of doing it for a third day in a row, telling her she’s suppose to take a day or two break inbetween the training. She actually ran/did the mission (most of the way) home from school yesterday! She went throught the whole mission, and was continuing to walk home. I went to check on her and gave her a ride the rest of the way home. All this while carrying her backpack, which isn’t the lightest thing on the face of the planet.

Tomorrow we are going to go tour the former State Hosptial (former insane asylum)…Shall be entertaining.
&, if the weather permits, might walk around NMC campus, looking at the sculptures, as I found out last night in class that it would count as a ‘Live Arts Experience.’

I think that’s about it for the moment, still waiting to hear back from my Professor about my Senior Thesis Proposal…We shall see.
