First & Second Weeks…

It was the Critter’s first week back to school…They both seemed to have a fairly good time of it.
Sonja came home all excited because Alba has exchange students this year, and the one is from Germany, & has an accent, & everything. *laughs*
Harley had some pretty good days, earned most of his points each day.

Sonja has her driver’s permit! O.o
I had an allergy attack yesterday, and in combination with that, and the way early mornings this week, I was feeling near dead.
Sooo…When Mum got home, after I picked up Squirtel from school, Sonja & I went to get her permit, so she could play chauffeur.
So yeah, Sonja drove me most of the way to class, hung out in class, then drove all the way home. My teacher also gave her the hula hoop we had used in class, so she didn’t have to carry it back to her car. *laughs* Sonja had given her a handful of origami things.

Tuesday was their first day back…I woke up at 4 in the morning and couldn’t get back to sleep. Had to have Harley up at 6 to make the bus. Had to have Sonja up at 7 to get her to school.
I came home and crashed for a couple hours.
Considering the early mornings that I’m not use too…So far I’m not doing too bad.

Didn’t have English this week, although the homework has been haunting me. I’m not enjoying this 8 page autoethnography at all. I’ve got 3-ish hand-written pages, that are probably 90% utter rubbish…It’s due on the upcoming Tuesday. Blah. I’ve got a reading I have to do for class as well…Hopefully it won’t be too boring.

MAT: So far, it’s not going too badly. We presented our group lessons, which went pretty good. My groups was more complex…Probably overly so, as we thought we had to include more than we did.
My part of the group lesson plan was to come up with a song set to the tune of a nursery rhyme. I also included a little poem that came to me while attempting to write the nursery rhyme song. Everyone seemed to like my song & poem. *smiles*
Thus far, I have been fairly lucky, I’ve been assigned the artistic portion of the lesson plans…For next week I have to make an example of the art project that the class would do, which is going to be painting their palms and then using them to make Michigan on a piece of paper. Then when the paint is dry, putting stickers on it to represent places in Michigan. WooHoo!

Ran the 3rd workout of my 7th week for the Zombies, Run! 5k app.
& when I say ran…I mean, RAN! It was a 10 minute walk, 5 minute run, then drills of 1 minute running & 15 seconds of skipping (5 times)…A minute break, and three 5 minute free-runs with a 3 minute break inbetween them.  My reward for it, a pillow…Which gives me a good excuse to buy a new pillow (which, yeah, I seriously need anyway).
I’ve only got 1 more week to the app, which is 3 runs…The last one being a 5k.
My ankles are still on the sore side, but I’m managing. Maria (one of the girls from MAT class, who is also a dance teacher) suggested putting ice on them, which I have been doing at least once a day for most days this last week…I think it’s helped some.  When I get my refund check I plan on investing in a good pair of running shoes, that will hopefully help with my ankles as well.

Get to sleep in tomorrow…Yay! Week-ends will so be my friends, even more so than usual, now that school has started.
Tho I’m going to be spending much of them on homework I think…Like this bloody paper that refuses to write itself, despite having ‘auto’ right in its description.
