Touching Base & a new look & name…

I’m on the tired side, but no nap for me. In about two hours I get to rescue Harley from his week of blahness. Though this week hasn’t been as bad for him as most, as he got to come home a couple times. *smiles*

I should be doing homework, but I really can’t focus on it much at all. I do have a fairly good (hopefully) outline/noteness thing, in preparation for the paper that is due Tuesday. I can’t find the number of sources I’m suppose to have. *shrugs* I’ll just have to do the best I can with what I have, and hope for the best. Even at the worst, I think I’ll still be coming out of class with at least a B. I’m fine with that.  & unless I somehow manage to blow my last assessment (which I only need minor touch ups on, I believe), I should get, at the lowest, an A- in my Assessment class…So it’s all good, and I’m trying not to let myself freak.

I have an army of felt plushies…A couple more in the process of being created.

I want to work on an outfit that I have more or less sketched out, alas, the materials for it are going to be quite expensive, and I do not have the fundage for such an endeavor as of the moment. Maybe if there is something left after FA for the upcoming semester.

I should work on some more outfits. I’m unhappy with my wardrobe most days, can never find anything I want to wear…I should really do something about it. Then again, that takes some fundage as well…Although not as much as the specific one.

Sonja has one week left of camp.
I got a letter from one of her counselors from the first week:

Dear Ms. Butler
Greetings from Camp Newaygo. Firstly let me introduce myself, my name’s Rebekah, I’m from Liverpool, England and was one of Sonja’s counselors for her stay at camp Newaygo (season 3B).
Although some of the Wakonda girls had already been at camp a week Sonja quickly settled in. She was a great addition, reconnecting friendships from previous years and quickly making new ones. Sonja became close friends with Marissa, a first year camper and I enjoyed watching their friendship develop and become stronger as the days went by.
Throughout the week Sonja was noticeable especially on our hiking trip. Sonja’s positively ensured the group was determined to finish the hike together and safely.
I was really impressed with Sonja’s drawing ability and loved watching her draw words and pictures for her fellow campers. I was not surprised that Sonja took arts and crafts as one of her periods. Along with pottery and sound of music. Which Sonja performed a song at the talent show in from of the whole camp.
Overall I am sure Sonja has really enjoyed session 3B of camp. I am really excited for the new things I am sure she will try and learn during session 4.

In addition to this I got a call the one day from an Urgent Care down in Newaygo area to obtain permission to treat Sonja, as she wasn’t feeling well. They were figuring UTI (but apparently after having to go back yesterday, it’s something else. I’m suppose to get the paperwork to tell me what later)…So she wasn’t even at 100% and she’s still managing to impress & inspire others.
This is one of the reasons I know camp is important to and for her. She thrives when she is there, I just wish I could see it. I was surprised to hear she sang in front of the whole camp!
& I’m sure there has got to be a story to go along with their hiking trip…Just get that feeling.

I’m jealous of her trip this last week too. I went looking for the pictures that the camp puts up and hit the jackpot! Apparently Wakonda went to South Manitou Island (My baby was closer to home that I knew!) @ Sleeping Bear Dunes (which is a hop, skip & jump from Traverse City). I’m impatient to hear camp stories!
I can’t even being to fathom what she might be up to this week.

*looks around* Yep, I did some redecorating again. I wanted kind of a nature feel to it. &, I manage to change my name. *grins* & my title & my location & my little pic at the end. [I will so miss my loverly Choji, but it was time for something new.] & the front page has changed as well. Change is good. *nods*

Well, I think that is it for the moment…I should attempt to find more sources…Or maybe I’ll try to put together another plushie before I have to get ready to go. Will be so nice to have Harley back home for the week…I do so hate it when they are gone.
