Uh…Crap, I need a title…

Teaching Writing is done…Yay!
The final exam was yesterday…I think I did okay. It had three parts. The first part I probably bombed…Which is bad, since it is something I’ll need to be able to do…It was putting commas into sentences and telling why they were suppose to be. O.o Ug.
The second part was a 4th grade (I believe) writing prompt for the MEAP test. We had to compare or contrast, or whatever, two animals. I used coyotes & red foxes. Figured I knew enough information about them to make a good informational writing piece.
The third part was a long arse essay…I typed two pages @ 1.5 spacing. I’m not sure I covered everything I was suppose to cover…I just hope I managed most of it.
We’re suppose to be able to pick up our stuff Tuesday…So…I might know by then what my grade it.

Everyone in the class (the whole 4 others) expressed wanting to expand their own writing. Since I still had some money from FA stashed, I decided to get everyone a copy of ‘Finish This Book’. They all seemed to like the idea (I got one for the teacher too). Yesterday the teacher gave me a card that they all signed…& she gave me a copy of a book she had two of about Nonfiction Writing…& she got a present for each one of the Critters (as they had been hanging out off & on). She got Harley a Eco Science Toy kit. He played with some of the experiments a bit last night. She got Sonja an Origami paper thing with some instructions (this because when she sat in the classroom she was almost always folding paper). They both enjoyed their pressies.

So…Two more classes to survive.
I have two assignments due on July 10th for my Language Arts for Teachers class…But that is because the one was pushed back (THANKFULLY)…I need to read an outside book for the one…The second is a theme lesson plan that is actually two lesson plans, one for reading or writing, and one for a content class (Social Studies, Science, Math [We can all be sure I won’t be doing Math. hehehe]).

I’ve got to fix up my rough draft for my SRA for Tuesday. I don’t think I have too much work to do on it.
Then I have to get to work on the next two assessments we have to write up. One is an Extended Response…So essay something. The other one is a Performance assessment…So, pretty much like what we had to do in Storytelling…Or a speech, or oral presentation, or debate…Something of those.

I had wanted to do something with the Critters this week-end…But thus far it’s a bust. *sigh* Mostly because of Poochie. *frowns*
The state campgrounds won’t let in the cabins they have, she can’t stay at the campsite alone, and she’s not allowed on the beaches. Which means we couldn’t go to the beaches at the campground. Sucks.

I do believe we are going to go pick up the last things Sonja needs for camp. She doesn’t have much time before she will be going…Which is another reason I wanted to squeeze in some doing stuff…But Mum isn’t here, so that kind of cuts down on what we can do too. I don’t know how we are going to squeeze in the things we want to do between them being here only every other week, then Sonja will be gone for 2 of those weeks (a total of 3 weeks)…Them Mum being gone (like this week, she was gone for the whole entire week! So that took a week out of time that we could have done something the four of us).

Well…I think that’s about it for the moment…Harley is watching the first Harry Potter…*le sigh*…
