The odds & ends…

*falls over laughing* Sonja discovered the record player…She came home from school sick Thursday (lack of sleep from the night before was really her problem). I had to go to school (had a French exam), and while I was gone, she decided to try and play records.
Apparently it took her an hour and a half (and four minutes) to figure out how to work it! And at one point she tried to put the records in the CD changer. Seriously, this would have been something great to have on video…Too bad I missed it. Tho the story she tells is wonderfuls. *laughs*

Wednesday was a snow day…For the lot of us. Mum’s truck is getting the 4×4 worked on, so she’s driving the car…There is no way it was going to make it from here to Boyne. The school called at 5:30 to tell me that I didn’t need to wake up the Critters @ 7:00 because there wasn’t going to be any school. [Yay for sleeping in!] Then I went to check what was what on the college website, only to find a big yellow block announcement saying that the college was closed as well…So the four of us all stayed home.

French Exam…I think I did fairly well this time. It was a shorter than usual one…The first part where he read was 5 questions, there were 5 people dressed for certain activities, we had to discern which lettered person A-E went with which numbered description 1-5.  I know I got 3 of them right…I’m feeling fairly confident about the other two. I got 15 out of 20 on the oral part of the exam…I totally butchered the second question. O.o Blah. *headdesk*
He also offered 2 possible extra credit questions. There was a 5 pt. question, it was about the story that we’ve been reading in class…Which I missed the second reading of. The first question was on some specific verbs and their past participles. That is the one I did…I think I might have gotten them all too…It was worth 10 points.

Well, this is my last full day here for a week. I’m getting a bit of the butterflies in my belly. I’m still not too keen on the whole plane idea…Doesn’t help when you hear about the guys in the towers who are suppose to be helping the planes come in are taking naps at major airports. O.o
Anyway…I’m pretty much packed…I have clothes separated into outfits and stuffed into 1 gallon plastic baggies and tossed in my suitcase. [No, I have no idea what is up with the plastic bags…I did it for the ‘to wear home outfit’ to keep it separate from everything else…Then I decided “Hey, this might save space, it’ll keep everything together with what it needs to be with…” & it just kept going from there.]
I’ve got Wasil’s birthday pressies stuffed in there…A plain titanium spork, a special titanium spork (it has the Starfleet Academy crap on it. *laughs*), and a (An)droid plushie. *giggles* He wants a phone that has the Android operating system, but he’s been waiting to see what they are coming out with in lines of phones next (as he doesn’t want to commit to one and then have them come out with something better then next day or week or month…).

I still need to sort out what I’m going to do as far as carrying my laptop…I want it secured, which the laptop bag would do…But I would also like a bit more room that what the laptop bag has. The backpacks I have would work for more space, but would not offer a safe, secure area for my laptop. Blah. Oh well…I will figure out something I suppose.

Well…I suppose I should get on that…Make sure everything is taken care of…*pokes at butterflies* Stop it now, you are being quite obnoxious.
