The state of things…
Homework Front:
Macroeconomics: Anything that resembled homework disappeared with the 6 page paper. Thankfully.
Our final exam is a week from Monday…So it’s pretty much just taking notes in class, and copying them over into my notebook as a form of studying.
French: We are on our last chapter for the semester. I’ve got about 3 pages of workbook to do. I’m sort of getting some of it…It’s just retaining it for any length of time that is the hard part. & I feel I’ve already forgotten stuff from the beginning of the semester. *le sigh* Anyway…After the semester I will get to the entry designed to drive most readers insane…& that should help at least for a few days. *laughs*
Brit. Lit.: We have readings and discussions…*shrugs* I do need to go through some of the readings and reacquaint myself with them for the Final…But I have a list of which ones are possible to be on the Final…So hopefully that will be of help. He gave us an option to write the final take home essay or not. It’s part of the Final Exam, but if we don’t do it, he won’t take away from us, it’ll just make the in class exam count as all our points. Which I’m more inclined to just go with at this point. Less work for me in the long run, and that is what I am really wanting right now.
Children’s Lit.: Gods, I’m so wishing I could put this one aside too…I’ve got 2/3rds of the final module done. I’m waiting on a book to do that last 1/3rd. The book probably won’t be here until the 8th. Blah…The module is due by noon on the 10th. So I am going to have to cut into Wasil time (me thinks) to get it done.
So yeah…That is where homework stands…Should be able to get it done-ish before too much longer.
Have to pick up the Critters at 1:00…Harley has a well-child check up at 2:00 in Charlevoix.
Then I take them to Petoskey and leave them in a parking lot. *laughs* Actually I am meeting their next to youngest aunt there and handing them over to her, at around 5:45. Katie works till 5:00, then is going to go to Petoskey, since she was wanting to take the Critters to something going on there tonight anyway…It’s like a Christmas Open House for the city. It works out well…I don’t have to go all the way to their house to drop them off…She doesn’t have to go home then drive all the way back to go to the thing. I’m sure they will have fun.
They get to spend all day Saturday at Grandma Kathy’s, tho four of those hours with be with Aunt Katie again…But it’s her birthday, so I’m sure they will be having no ends of fun. *smiles* [Katie is actually a strong tie for my favorite ex-sister-in-law. She’s creative and artistic and likes to read (Harry Potter among the things she reads). She’s also the one that Sonja has a strong resemblance of at times…She has what we call her ‘Aunt Katie look’. *laughs*]
Wasil should be in Grand Rapids by now. He got the all clear to leave early at like 10 or 11 last night. Was going to take a 2-3 hour nap, and head out.
I has butterflies thinking about uncocooning in my belly. As silly as I’m sure it seems, I’m so nervous to see him again. It’s so weird, even to me, as I know I shouldn’t fee like this. I could understand if during this long agonizing stretch we didn’t have much interaction. But seriously, I ‘see’ him just about every night via webcam. But I guess it’s that whole not being together in the actual flesh…Together where you can cuddle up together is WAY different than looking at each other on a computer screen.
Way anxious about Saturday. I shouldn’t be. It’s not like I haven’t met these people before (well, with the possible exception of his son being there). Maybe it’s just because I know I don’t like his mother. Blah. And honestly, I’m wondering what Bianca is thinking about this whole thing. Not that I care, her opinion isn’t going to change anything…I just don’t want to deal with anything if she is less than thrilled. Though, on FaceBook, she commented on the picture of Wasil and I together, and said it was the first time in a very long time that she seen a genuine smile on his face. *smiles*
I am most likely being silly. *nods* [Tho, yeah…I think I keep trying to put it out of my mind that his son will probably be there…After all, this is their Christmas get together. *bites lip*]
Anything else…Oh yeah…Turned in stuff to the Financial Aid office yesterday…Haven’t seen any sign of change tho. *frowns* I’m probably going to have to call them or go in there and find out what is what. I need this taken care of…I need to know if I have to come up with money or if I’m safe again. *headdesk*
I got the review back on my last Children’s Lit. module…197 out of 200 points! WooHoo! Needless to say, I am quite pleased with that one.
The part I got points off on was Bunnicula. Mainly because I didn’t relate it back to real life. *shrugs* I’m happy with what I got.
I’m thrilled with my points for part 3 though…Since I pretty much BSed my way through part of it. *laughs* And used book passages to fill out my word count quota. [Which I def. did not need to do this time around…As our word count quota was 400-500…I had over 550 without passages…Over 800 with! *laughs* But, it was on The Graveyard Book…So yeah. *laughs*]
I think part of my getting all the points on the 3rd part was due to the fact that I put in the ‘Proper call to Adventure’ for the characters. Seriously, I have a hard time seeing how anyone can not get that the Toad in Tuck Everlasting was Winnie’s call to adventure. The bloody thing was there, taunting her (no, not literally, but still) to go, to run off, to cross into the wood. Apparently most people (maybe that’s the trouble, they are people!) picked Jesse as Winnie’s call to adventure. WTF? Seriously? It was a boy, she stumbled upon in the woods…IN the woods people, AFTER her adventure started…How can he therefore BE the call to adventure. *shakes head* It is CLEARLY the Toad, and anyone who thinks other wise is…Well…Obviously a people. *nods*
I’m not sure who/what others in class picked for Bod’s call to adventure in The Graveyard Book…For me it was the open door that the man Jack failed to close.
I swear…That whole Jack organization/order…A bunch of idiots! They would, I’m sure, get on famously with Tommy…’Let’s do this stupid thing, setting into motion a self-fullfilling prophecy which we are trying to avoid.’ *shakes head* I swear…Idiots! *laughs*
I just got a text from Wasil…He’s in Grand Rapids, do the things he needs to do there…One of which is installing a laptop for someone he knows…Which I’m not sure what that entails, but whatever…*shrugs* He’ll be here sometime tonight. *smiles* So yeah…I need to get back to homework…Get dressed…Get ready to retrieve Critters from school, and deposit them elsewhere.
[Not looking well for the entries I had wanted to write for RPG…We shall see…]
Crap…I just zorched Choji…Poor Nin-boy
yay for you!!!!!!
