NoMoJo-ish

Well so far 3 days and 3 entries…I deserve a cookie.
Then again right now food just doesn’t sound overly appealing…I haven’t even eaten much Halloween candy…& I got a good haul.

I’m so tired.

Managed to get my test for French made up. Well, most of it. There is the oral part and the listen and answer part I can’t do until I set up a time with him…Which is going to have to be tomorrow.

Um…There was something…I need to do some major reading…I was suppose to start on one of the books for Children’s Lit. this week…I hasn’t done it.

I got registered for my classes.
1.) French 102…In the hopes I pass French 101…Same days & time as this semester…Tuesdays & Thursday 1:00-3:00 PM

2.) Intro to Linguistics…Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:15 AM-12:15 PM…[So only a 45 minute break between classes.]
This course is designed to acquaint students with modern developments in the science and philosophy of language, and to improve their understanding of culture and language in general. It addresses issues of sound, word formation, syntax, semantics, language acquisition, and more.

3.) American Literature…Wednesdays 6:00-9:00 PM [It’s going to bloody SUCK! But at least it’s only one night a week. *sigh* Still…]
Students in this course study the American tradition, early and modern, in prose and poetry. Selections will emphasize the cultural and intellectual background giving rise to our national literature, the major phases or movements in that literature, and how certain writers transcended those movements to create work of universal value.

4.) Mythology…Online [Really Sucks…But it’s the only way it’s offered & it’s required for transfer. Blah.]
This course features a study of central and recurring patterns of human concern as revealed in the mythic content of various forms of literature. Examination of archetypal structures embedded in works of culture ranging from ancient Babylonian to contemporary eras is central to course goals and outcomes. Areas to be investigated will include myths of the quest, of power, of origins, of love, and of art.

So there it is…
