Sonja’s birthday…She’s 12 nows.

Done with the medication of evilness…Woke up feeling good knowing I didn’t have to take it…There are still some lingering bleck, as far as taste goes, but it’s nothing like it was. My head hurts a bit, but I’ll live…At least I don’t feel like puking for hours on end.

Woke up this morning, tossed closes on, took Reese some things she left here and picked up some things for Sonja…A CD with one song (Cruel Sister by Pentangle…I brought lyrics home from Brit. Lit. & found it on YouTube, & Sonja declared she wanted it.), a handful of Barbies from Happy Meals, and a card with $5.00 in it. Went to Glen’s to pick up some gel to decorate cakeness.

Came home baked cake…Wrapped pressies…Started working on Gully Dwarf Stew (Sonja’s requested meal for the evening). Set the GDS to simmering for it’s 4 hours (something it hasn’t gotten the chance to actually do for a long time, and OMGs, I had forgotten how good it really is after it’s been simmering forever). Frosted and decorated Sonja’s cake after it had cooled.

Went & got the Critters from school. J I think there were much happy to be able to come home for a while (It’s the Idiots week-end to have them.)…Sonja took extra clothes with her Wednesday so she could wear ‘her own’ clothes today.

Idiot called around 4:00 to say he was going to be late picking them up as he got called to work for a little bit…It was only an hour longer, but every little bit is good.

We are still trying to get to take Sonja to ride BeBe for her real birthday present, but I couldn’t let her not have anything at all to open, so I got a couple small things for her…A 82% dark chocolate candy bar, a composition book that has sticker pages so you can design your own covers, a book that I picked up the dollar store (It’s related to Irish mythology & it’s heroes…It looked like she might find it interesting, I hope so.), and a tie. [She was drooling all over them at Wal*Mart’s the other day. *laughs*] I think she liked what she got. *smiles*

I am tired tho…But it’s been a busy day, so I’m thinking it’s tired from running around, not from the meds of evilness.

I has little pigtails! *laughs* I can still wear my hairfalls!

Which reminds me…1 more Halloween costume figured out!
Sonja declared tonight that she wants to be a kender for Halloween. I’ve got some work ahead of me, but not a tremendous amount. We need to get her some bright colored leggings, and shirt and skirt/shorts, possibly vest, etc. & since her hair is really too short to be a proper topknot, I’m going to make her some long, multi & bright colored hairfalls for her to wear. *grins* Plus I’m going to try and find her a set of pointed ears…Shouldn’t be too hard, the Halloween stores should have them for elves & what not.

Now…Must figure out me. I’ve been working on a character, and I had been thinking about doing something she would wear…Which is really odd, as Sonja actually suggested I go as her tonight. *laughs* So yeah…Got to figure out how to pull that one off.

One more thing before I forget to actually write about it. Despite feeling like death warmed over, I went with Reese to Petoskey last night so she could sign some papers so she can start work…ANYWAY…On the way home, almost back to my place, maybe 2 miles away, walking along side the road is a beautiful coyote. I wish I could of gotten a picture…It was such a wonderful sight. [Worth going out when I felt like death.]

Me thinks me is going to call this an end…I have homework, homework, and more homework…Which in all honesty I probably won’t really get to tonight, but hey it sounds like a good excuse to finish up. [I did get almost half of my Children’s Lit. module typed up…I still need to find a wordless picture book, and I’m waiting for my cultural one to come in.]
