Entry got away from me

*screams* *pouts* & *throws a fit*

Yesh, I is going to be all childish and whiney. *sticks tongue out*

First…Strawberry crème in Twinkies is an abomination! It’s wrong! It’s sacrilege!
*huggles plain Twinkies*

2.) I want to RPG! *cries* I miss it, so very much. *sigh* Alas…I know it’s not in the cards at this point in time. *pouts & whines some more*

C. I still haven’t gotten my cards from the Mackinac Historical Society! I called them over a week ago to get the Heritage Package, so we can take the Critters to the Island & go to the forts & all that.

IV. Summer is almost over! Where the bloody hell did it go? *looks around desperately* *sniffles* *sigh*

My eyes are feeling much better…I would say nearly 100% their usual selves…Unfortunately my knees are back to their usual selves as well. *frowns*
At least most of the other allergy stuff has abated…So that’s something.

Planted a letterbox today. Was recording the trek back from the planting, but half way back to the water the battery died. O.o Oh well…It wasn’t all that interesting of a trip back anyway. *laughs*

Polish fest is this week/week-end. Tomorrow is the kids day thing…*sigh* It’ll be the first one in four or five years that I haven’t taken the Critters…Two years ago Raya was up here and she went with me and them. Last year Sonja actually rode the pony ride…Which she wouldn’t do before.

I’ve got so many things I want to write…But not the motivation/time/needed knowledge to do them all. & knowing classes will be starting again shortly…*shakes head* I know I won’t have the time…I’ve got a ton of reading ahead of me (something like 5 or 7 books in my one class, not to mention the other classes).

College starts in 26 days. I can go and pick up my books next week (& see for sure just how many I’m looking at). I’m taking 5 classes this semester. I don’t think it’ll be too much more than I’m use to, as one of them in Pottery II…So that shouldn’t really be too much in the way of work. If it’s like Pottery I we’ll need a sketchbook & a collection of pictures that represent certain kinds of pottery, but that’s really no big deal.

The sample syllabus for Adolescence & Cultural Diversity lists 7 books and 4 websites/internet journals…There will be 2 essays, 8 quizzes, a required online discussion (weekly, more than just one day), a weekly ‘writing quiz’, and a final project/paper. Blah…Sounds like a lot of work…It’s also an online class…So hopefully I don’t slack off. Who knows, she might have lightened up the work load this semester…Yeah, I know, not likely. I’ll see after I get my books & the real syllabus should be up the week prior to classes starting.

Not sure how much work Abnormal Psychology will be…Someone else who took it said it wasn’t too bad.

I’m sure there will probably be 2 or 3 papers to write for Contemporary Ethical Dilemmas. I’ve seen how that teacher operates though, so I think I can handle another class with him without too much difficulty.

Then there is Detective Fiction…Which at this point I’m more worried about the room than the class. I’ll find a way to survive it somehow. But…Since I’ve now got 2 story ideas/concepts that would fall under the lines of Detective Fiction (or a close facsimile there of), I figured it would be a good class to take. *nods*

Despite telling me she didn’t think she was returning to college this fall, I got a text from Reese the other day asking me what day classes start. So it sounds like, from that, she’s changed her mind again. Since she knows I’ve got Pottery II she’ll probably take it, as that was her plan in Spring anyway. I really don’t want her in any of my other classes. I really really don’t want her in my CED (This will now be how I refer to Contemporary Ethical Dilemmas, so I don’t have to type it out again and again) class. I know bloody well we’ve got some major difference in opinions when it comes to some of the major topics that will most likely be discussed. [Issues listed in class description: euthanasia, abortion, sexuality, affirmative action, the death penalty, ecology, or animal rights…& there is mention of ’feminist ethics’.]

Things I’ve forgotten to mention…

Went to James’s commitment ceremony…Which I did mention…But I didn’t mention. 1.) That despite the fact that she said she was going to be there…That she knew where the road it was located on was…That she was in Traverse City…Reese did not show up. She called me a couple times, playing at not knowing how to find it. It wasn’t that bloody difficult to find!
Personally, when push came to shove, I don’t think she had the ‘ability’ to show up. Despite what she says and how she acts in front of James, I know the truth about how she feels. She thinks same sex couples are wrong. This from someone who keeps going over the fact that 90% of her friends are either bi or gay! *shakes head*
What’s really annoying is her hypocrisy on the whole thing…She’s came out and told me she thinks it’s wrong…Yet in her writings with Skittles they write about guy/guy couples. [I’m guessing that is due in part to Skittles being Bi herself…& I’m sure Reese hasn’t told her best friend how she really feels about it.]
& 2.) [To get me off that topic and on to something better.] The place where James & Harry’s ceremony was at the Grande Traverse Conservation District…It’s a Natural Education Reserve…Anyway…The main building thing for it is pretty much next to the pavilion where the ceremony was, and it had animals, a few live, mostly stuffed (as in taxidermy, not plushie), so we checked it out while we were there. Among the things they had were pelts & skulls of some of Michigan’s native animals….& there, laying amongst the soft fur a skull looked back up at me. It was the same size & shape as the one I had found out back! Which is really one of those bittersweet kind of learnings…The skull I found belonged to a coyote. I kept trying to tell myself it seemed too small for that, and those who commented on it from the picture thought so as well, that a fox seemed more likely…But inside, my heart/soul kept telling me it was a coyote. I mean, it sucks either way that either of these beautiful creatures succumbed to death (but hey, that’s life…*headdesk*)…But with how I feel towards coyotes…To know…I feel that much more sad for it’s loss. But I am happy to know what it really was, and that despite I tried to tell myself I was wrong, I was really right. *pauses* *attempts to think* I think I confused myself. *laughs*

Well…As for summer’s previous plans…Lack of funds put a damper on the building of the

cottage for the Critters…Maybe next summer.
Doesn’t look like we’ll get down to Michigan’s Adventure. *frowns* What with Appa having to have new breaks when he did (& he has a couple other things that need fixed before winter gets here) & Mum’s trucks repairs…Money for that doesn’t look likely.
Still determined to get to the island though…Now if the bloody cards show up in time!
Still have some letterboxing to do.
First Cosplay event is this week-end…I’m a bit nervous…I wish the Critters could be there too. They will be there for the second one though. *grins* Now…I just need to work on getting my hair to look right. [I’m considering going as L for the first day, and going as Kankuro the second day…I’m not 100% sure as of yet though.]

*looks up* Wow…This got long.
ß *points back* A random RPG/fan fiction entry that way for those who haven’t read it yet.

*is tired* I think I’m going to curl up and take a nap till Mum gets home. [She’s @ Oldes night @ the beer tent @ the Polish fest…Her friend Karen wanted someone to go with & be her D.D.]

hi will you do me a favor and read my most recent entry

August 6, 2009

*hugs hugs hugs*

I have a similar love for coyotes and would likewise be heartbroken over one’s death, though intrigued by the skull. *hugs*Light of heart,

*pokes Reese* She is full of confusingness. But, yeah, I would have to agree…Her being in that class would not be good. It’s hard to remain objective and not get offended when you are friends with someone who has differing opinions on major issues as thus. *misses RPG, too* *sigh* I is sorry you won’t get to enjoy the Polish Fest with the Critters. *kicks Dan* *HUGS* Love you, Sissy.

Sounds like you’ve had a good summer though… hopefully school won’t be too hectic for you. Will read your RPG thing when I have more time… 🙂 Glad to hear James had a good ceremony. Are they legally married? Not sure if same-sex marriage is legal in your state (forget which state you’re in) – I know it’s legal in Canada (or Ontario at least!). I’m truly happy for them. I just hope my wedding goes as smoothly! *hugs*
