3rd…4th…5th…Long week ahead…

Well…*sigh* Sonja is off at camp for two weeks…& Harley is at his father’s for a week. I dropped him off on the way back…He got an hour and a half reprieve. It was AJ & the rest of the girls, no ‘adults’…So I’m sure Sonja is going to be disappointed when she gets back and realizes the hippo is still there.

Sonja is going to go on a horseback ride while at camp this year. She’s in cabin 6. There should be pictures on the website soon. *huggles her* I miss her already…I’m sure she’s not missing us yet. She picked out a top bunk in the cabin. She’s already got in mind what she’ll be taking…Archery, pottery (both weeks), arts & crafts, Native American flute making (she made one last year, it was prittiful)…& of course she wants to do the ‘Polar Bear Swim’. She actually got in the water this year during swim testing.

Well the 4th of July plans fell through, as previously mentioned, but we managed a fairly good day anyway. *smiles*
We went to the wooden park in Boyne…Mum & Cindy knew some people in one of the bands that was playing at the Memorial park and wanted to go and watch. Me & the Critters dropped Mum off at Cindy’s then went to the park. They had a craft show thing going on, so we wandered that before we went to the wooden park…Found Sasparilla! [We’ve been looking for it since Free Realms came out, as the one race, the Chugawugs, are real big on sasparilla. *laughs*] There was a stand there selling homemade pops…For $6.00 you got a fairly good sized tin mug (as Sonja declared later, they resemble tin cans with handles put on them)…Then $1.00 refills, for life! We went back for a sasparilla refill before we left the park completely (Then went back for another $1.00 drink while we were waiting for the fireworks.)
After the park we collected Mum from Cindy, and went out to Whitinings so the Critters could play in the water. Didn’t stay too long, the breeze was rather cold.
Came home. I grilled chicken & Mum made friend potatoes. It was a good dinner.
Then we headed back to Boyne for fireworks. We didn’t have the best spot in the world…Actually scooted back from where we were set up and watched from there. They were pretty good…Would of been awesome if we could of seen all of them.

Today was taking Sonja to camp.

*le sigh*

Wasting time and thoughts…I can’t seem to help myself though.
I don’t know if it is time of year, or what…But been thinking alot about Todd again. I know he’s not worth the thoughts, but they seem to be there none the less.
Friday I attempted to make a fire in the fire pit (would of worked if the wood hadn’t been on the wetter side of dry…It tried, it really did). Got to thinking that it was Todd who dug out the fire pit…& that it was a year prior that he had invited me over to his house, with his family there…I ended up with his hoodie that night…Still have it. He told me to keep it once…I still have a couple other things of his too…I meant to get them to him before now.
Taking Sonja down to camp we drove through Baldwin…Which is where Troutarama is…Which is where Todd invited me to go with him last year…That week-end didn’t go as planned either.

Other things…
Got some more of the books I thought would help me with research for the one story I had in mind…Not sure they are going to be much help after all. Most of the places are too far out of place, or you can’t get to, or non-existent anymore. *sigh* I need locations that can actually be gotten to. *shrugs* Oh well…I’m not giving up, just regrouping…Somehow.

Me & Mum, hopefully, will get a chance to go down the river in my boat this week…Mainly because I want to take Harley the following week (while he’s here without Sonja, since she’ll still be at camp), and Mum doesn’t want it to be the first trip down for us of the year…So we’ll know how the river is acting.

Last year Raya & Derrick were here for the fireworks…They would of enjoyed the 4th we had, I think. They both like playing at the wooden park too. *laughs* [Though I didn’t play at all…I had drawing stuff with me…Should of been playing instead…Then I would of been sitting there getting a sunburn on my back. Ouchie…I sprayed Sonja down but didn’t really get me.]

*sigh* Well…It’s going to be a long week…I’m fairly certain.
I need to call James and let him know when the convention at the college is…& when Cherry Capital-con is too.
