I touched a bird…

Saturday: Got most of what Sonja needs for going to camp. She’s decided that she doesn’t need tennis shoes, as she will be happily content to wear canvas slip on shoes.
She’s decided that she only needs one khaki bottoms, even for two weeks, as they don’t wear them that often, and she can keep them clean. [Also she hated trying clothes on, and really didn’t feel like doing it anymore.]

Got a bat house. Now need to get it up, and hopefully have some bats move in. We should have plenty of food for them…There are tons of mosquitoes all over the place.

Got a ‘saws-all’. *has power tools* [And is frightfully happy about being the owner of power tools…There is something seriously wrong with me. *laughs*]

Got two cans of spray paint to paint the blackberry bramble fence…I’m not even quite half way done with painting, and I’m out of paint. *falls over*

I need an long extension cord…A very long one…The cord on the saw doesn’t reach far enough…All the extension cords we have currently, in connection with the cord on the saw don’t reach far enough.

I’m tired. I’m almost certain I’m asleep right now…Which probably doesn’t bode well for the house…Mum is going out with Karen tonight…I have Critters tonight. *huggles Critters* I loves thems…If I fall asleep on them, they will probably either kill me or each other.
Although…Currently they are playing fairly nice with one another…Only a couple little flair-ups…And thus far, have been able to manage to work though them without too much trouble. They are playing with Lincoln Logs.

Still…Nap sounds good. *curls up into a little ball* They could get along…Right?

*hangs up sign* ~Shall return tomorrow to finish this almost entry-like thing.~

Sunday: Went to pick up a couple things in town, the four of us, then went for a ride through the Jordan. OMGs! The army worms are aweful!
We’ve already been fighting them at home. The vinegar/water spray isn’t quite doing the job like it has in past years. They just won’t die! ANYWAY…Going through the Jordan, you can see the worms hanging down from the trees in the road. Appa was covered with the evil little things. A couple of them snuck inside…I think we got all of them out though…Hopefully.

Came home, made food…Blah, blah, blah.

Anyway…Back to my title.
We’ve had hummingbirds for most of the time we’ve been here. This spring, with the cat population down (and the ones we have being beyond lazy), we’ve gotten a pair of gold finches…A male & female. Soooo, we decided to get a finch feeder and put it up. "
There was a different bird out there. Not sure what kind…I really need to see if I can find out…Anyway…I dug out a bird feeder from under the counter and took it out there. So I was walking with the feeder, telling the bird we had more birdseed. Just kept talking to it, and edging closer and closer. It wasn’t flying off, it was just sitting there, stuffing it’s face full of food. I managed to reach out and touch it’s feathers, a couple times!
[I’m still quite baffled by the whole thing.]

On a separate note…I still can’t copy & paste normally in here. But if I put in the HTML codes, click the source button, pop it in, click the source button again, it’s all fine. It’s all annoying really…But it’s something I suppose,
