…And the Grades are in.

8:30 AM
Though grades aren’t due offically until tomorrow, I thought I’d take a peek and see if anymore managed to get added since I looked the other day. They are all there. *grins* Yeah…Suppose you can tell from the grin that it’s good news.
Photography: 3.5 (Which we’d already known since portfolio review last week.)
Eastern Religions: 3.5 (I know my last paper didn’t make full points, and I’m sure I missed a few on the final. Still, I’m not complaining, 3.5 is fine by me.)
3-D Design: 4.0! Yay me!
Creative Writing: 4.0! *squee* (Not sure if it is that on it’s own…Or if it’s a 3.5 plus .5 for submitting to the magazine. Did I ever mention that I got my check for that? $20.00 for winning 3rd place for short story. *grins* I am kind of curious to see what he had to say about my last piece. I’ll have to get over to T.C. and get my portfolio picked up, hopefully soon.)

This has been/is Teacher Appreciation Week. I had intended on getting the Critters to do something for the teachers, before now…Not sure what happened with that plan. Anyway, last night, did manage to get getting to it. Sonja wanted to take hers in today, but the flowers she (with my help) transplanted for her teacher are looking kind of droopy. They are trout lilies…I don’t think they were made for transplanting. So, since I was going to be taking Harley to Gaylord anyway after school, going to take her too. Sony is going to pick out some kind of already flowering flower to put in the bowl she painted last night. It’s a really pretty bowl. You wouldn’t think it was just a styrofoam bowl under all that paint.
Harley made his teacher a basket…I put pipecleaner handles on a pre-made basket thing, and he decorated the inside with flowers. We are going to pick up some chocolates to put in it. And while we’re over there, going to find him a pair of tennis shoes that he’ll actually wear. He’s got two pairs here, one his friend Ben gave him, but neither of them fit right. It’s still a month before he’ll be able to bring his gym shoes home, and I’m not sure how they are fitting him right now. Since snow left he’s been wearing his sandles…With socks. O.o It’s a strange little sight, but it keeps him happy.

It’s raining. or threatening to…Can’t really tell…If it is, it’s a light sprinkle. So I’m not sure if I’m going to be getting to any outside work or not today. Which is quite a shame, as I have been enjoying myself. My body is a little achey in places, but not nearly as much as I would of thought. The sunburn is a tiny bit warm, but even it doesn’t seem too bad. These last three days of being outside in the fresh air have just been so wonderful…Refeshing…Invigorating. It’s been great!
I didn’t want to come in last night…I wanted to keep working on things…Even though I’m not sure there are enough usable pallets outside for the fence. Need to do something about that…Might have to wait for Lanzen to put some more out.

Speaking of…Mum made two trips into Lanzen last night. [Lanzen being where the neighbor guy works, where Dan use to work.] She brought back a couple fence pallets the first trip, as well as some I might try to use for one of my next projects. *grins*  Apparently they’ve put on a second shift, and a guy driving a high-lo came out and talked to her when he seen her getting pallets [The pallets are up for grabs, so it wasn’t a bad ‘what are you doing’ talk.], which is why she went back a second time. He got her some wood pieces from inside. They are pretty good sized chunks of oak. They are over by the firepit now, awaiting bonfire time. Also, she brought home this cute little box-thing. *laughs* It’s maybe two foot long, by half a foot wide, maybe a foot tall…Has these cute little legs. It’s so adorable. [I can not believe I’m thinking a wooden box is adorable. *laughs*]

The one project I have in mind, I’m not sure how I’m going to manage. I’m going to need some good wood…I want to make a ‘playhouse’/’fort type thing in the front yard. There is a group of trees that I want to build it by. It’s up towards the road, but not too close, and the trees will be between it and the road. This is one of the things I’m fairly certain is sketched into the layout I had designed for the yard intially.
I want to have it as weather safe as possible, so no big holes in it. I figure it’ll work for the kids to play in (Me too! Me too! *laughs*), and maybe even be able to ‘camp’ out in it. Considering the tent fiasco last summer…I think it would be a better bet for camping in the yard than the tend. [Do so wish I had the cable that ran from the camcorder to the computer…I could share the exploits of ‘How to get a tent out of a tree’. I do so need to watch that again, it was amusing. *laughs*]

Well…As it’s been nearly half an hour, I’m going to call this a break…And hope that Open Diary saves it here like it’s suppose to.

It is later…6:55 PM

I’ve been crap of noting fo late…Sorries. I’ll be better soon.
Not much else happened since I wrote thee above. Did put one more pallet up for fence…But now I think we are offically out of them for that use.
Got flowers & chocolate for both of the Critters teachers. I need to make a tag/card/something to go with them. *nods*

Did forget to mention I cut down a tree yesterday. Not something I’d normally do if I could help it, but…It was in the middle of the brambles & too close to the spectic too…If it got to be a big tree, with big roots…Yeah, could of been quite troublesome.

Well, I am off…To more Free Realms I believe…That is where I spent the majority of my morning/afternoon…As it was rainy-ish. Tomorrow is suppose to be sunny though…Even if only calling for mid-60’s. *pokes at Saturday & more rain*
Oh well…Hopefully mini bonfire tomorrow to roast marshmallows with the Critters.

Teacher appreciate sounds like a great idea. I wonder why we don’t have it… :O) I’d love to see the video of you trying to get a tent out of a tree – it sounds bloody hilarious! Take care xxx
