rainy day sunday

so as you can guess it has rained all day long here.. .which is good because we actually need the rain… but it’s bad because Malachai had to be cooped up in the house all day… and on top of that our roof… specifically the roof over her bedroom, decided to leak.. and the spot it was leaking in was right around the light fixture… so we had to shut her light off, make sure she didn’t go into her room.. and wait for the rain to come to a sprinkle for a few minutes so mom could go put a tarp over the spot… until the weather dries up and the roof can be patched… yeah so very very lovely day, although it started out with me cooking a big breakfast and was kind of quiet around the hosue even with the three girls…

on top of that i had kaylee today… and she is a whirlwind… she has absolutly no discipline at home or even with her grandma… and she does not play well with others. … ally spent the night last night for their birthday sleepover and kaylee decided to pinch her under the eye because ally had a toy she wanted… not to mention she did a similar thing to zozo the other day. .. so she got time out.. and didn’t understand why she couldn’t have toys with her or play with the animals lol… really no dicipline there at all… but we got through it.. and they were both back with their adult by 2pm… so then i kinda vegged out at the tv.. watching the lifetime movie channel.. let me tell ya, some psycho stories today lol.. like murder mysteries n such… was fun… and while i was doing that Malachai played her game, colored, drew, and other things to keep her busy….

so the party was great… the girls had a blast, and both made out like bandits! Malachai’s gma, aunt, uncle & cousins came down… and i absolutly love debbie, she really is an ideal mom-in-law (even if she’s technically only adopted mil, since mark & i never married) but yeah love her to pieces… it was a fun 2 hours.. and it went smoothly… they both had friends show up and let me tell you Malachai’s friend Irie… her mom made Malachai a patchwork skirt last year, this year she made her a patchwork art smock… she is so talented.. and they got her paints, glitter pens and a sketch book, which Malachai loved… she loves to draw, paint, and do anything involving art.

plans for tonight… well i’ve got to work on my group project, find another source on Iraq culture.. do two more powerpoint slides and then send them in… other than that, i have to finish organizing my room.. i did work on that a bit today too.. have to hang up my clothes and it’s done… well my desk needs cleaned too, but i don’t know if i’m actually going to get to that tonight or not.. might save that for tomorrow.. i don’t have kaylee, so i’ll have the whole day to myself.. other than dad being here.. but he sleeps most of the time ne way…

i also need to finish up my math work, because it is due tomorrow night.. i have one more assignment to do, which i will do tomorrow, because math doesn’t sound too great right now lol!

my cold is much better, just have a slight cough now… and my ears feel like i’ve been swimming all weekend… but much better than the other day. i am kinda tired right now, might skip the group thing since it’s not due until next week… i didn’t sleep well last night, it was one of those, i remember looking at the clock at 3 am and thinking i really need to fall asleep.. and then i closed my eyes, and it was like only for a second and when i opened them it was 430am… i had to be up to get kaylee at 530am so it was really weird.. i closed my eyes again at 430 and it was like a minute later the alarm was going off… so i got up, went to the kitchen to wait.. and then put kaylee in my bed, turned on mash (any thing else she won’t go back to sleep) and i was back up at 730am when chai and ally ran down the hall way giggling… i made them lay back down and watch tv, so kaylee would sleep a bit more… then at 830am kaylee was ready to play… so that is when i got up for good… started breakfast at like 9..

so all that last paragraph is ramblings about being tired… but that’s how my night went, and i feel like i could shut my eyes and be asleep instantly still sitting up with the laptop on my knees… but i can’t because chai is still awake…. she’s been in bed for an hour and she’s thought of every reason she can to get out of bed again.. this time it was "i’m thirsty" which leads to "i’ve got to use the bathroom" … who said bedtime was easy? it reallly isn’t… especially when they think that the parents have all kinds of fun once they go to bed… it reminds me of that full house episode when michelle thought they had a party every night when she went to bed.. lol that was actually cute.. well it’s not so cute every night… i’ll give her a break, it’s not every night… but sometimes it seems that way.

anyway i’m going to get off here… definatly putting my clothes away real quick… then i think i’ll lay down.. do all the work tomorrow.. sounds like a plan lol! more tomorrow
