Scientific Bodies

I said that I’d leave my body to science
Science said that it didn’t want it
That there was nothing remarkable to see
From the tip of my toes right up past my armpits
No discoveries could be made
No value to be preserved
With comments as cutting as a coroners scalpel
Maybe its good that they won’t be getting on my nerves
I doubt that you’d receive the same response
If you offered up your body to science
An offering up to the Gods
In creationist defiance
There’d be a lot to marvel at
I wish I knew the full extent
But I’ve never been lucky enough
To see you in the way that nature did intend
You’d have the scientific community buzzing
Swarming around a honeypot
And when asked what there was of value in you
They would have answered ‘The lot!’
