Decibels

We skulk about in the shadows
Acting like common criminals
But we don’t want to make a sound
Don’t want to register some decibels
For we shouldn’t be here
Or at least I shouldn’t be here with you
There’s no telling what trouble we’ll be in
So I won’t tell if that’s OK with you too
It’s all very cloak and dagger
But we’re undressing rather than dressing up
We haven’t discussed such kinks yet
With you, so far, it’s always straight up
That’s just our desire speaking
Which will probably be our downfall
Because we’ve got to keep this secret
We’ve got to stop making decibels
Otherwise, people will start asking questions
Suspicious minds will want to be reassured
And I’m not ready for an inquisition quite yet
It’d be one that I could ill afford
So although we may want to scream and shout
I’ll have to cover your mouth
There are enemies on the floor below
So please stop those decibels from coming out
