The Death Of Calligraphy

They curse cursive in Indiana
Don’t you find that a little Eerie?
I guess that the script is no longer in the script
We may be witnessing the death of calligraphy.

It’s not very smart to replace it with a smart phone
Simpler writing leads to simpler thoughts
I would try and sign off this poem with a flourish
But as I’m in Indiana, I could be breaking the law
And I don’t want to get caught

Even with complicated handwriting
It would still be plain to see
That text speak and typography
Will be the death of calligraphy

Even with a screw loose
And minus a few brain cells as well
It’s plain to see that this adds up to a handcart
Headed straight to the centre of hell
