This & that…

Have you ever been to Boise, Idaho? If not, let me save you the trouble. The people are about as attractive (and have the same personalities) as their potatoes. It would be impossible to tell them apart except for the fact that the people occasionally move. Obesity rates are about 1/3 of the population, with another 1/3 working to get there. The term "wasteland" applies here on so many levels. And the quality of medical care is in need of significant improvement.

We’ll be attending a Chaîne weekend in Pavia in May, followed by a week at our favorite hotel/spa in Venice. Just picturing those menus has helped me get through two weeks of visits to Idaho.

While in Manhattan a few weeks ago, I saw a suit in a Ralph Lauren store that caught my eye.

I’m having my tailor copy it for me, with a few modifications, such as lapels on the waistcoat. Also having a solid waistcoat made in a contrasting color for some variation.

I had knee surgery and am recovering pretty well and I am planning my wedding. That is pretty much it. *laughs* I drove through boise once.

Oh my stars…………you are going to be in so much trouble regarding Boise, Idaho!!! I have never been there so I don’t have an opinion. I think you are going to need some hugs…so here they are … (((((HUGS)))).

I’m in the market for my first suit here in a few weeks, although I’m certain our budgets are rather different

Oh dear, I disagree with the lapels on the waistcoat; less is more. But a different color, yes indeed! What colour would that be, pray tell? I’d tell you what’s going on with me, but then, that’s what a diary for, oui?

I didn’t like Boise either.

I’ve been to Boise many a time, and you pegged it, my friend. Indeed, while parts of the intermountain west can be beautiful, Utah and Idaho are bleak, bleak places to be. That suit is lovely. It’s so nice to see someone who appreciates the art of tailoring.

Geez.. I wonder what people would say about rural North Carolina (assuming, of course, they didn’t know YOU).

Exactly how many suits do you have!! What colour vest? I kind of like the sleek look of no lapels on the waistcoat.
