Should be asleep

  1. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? Late 20s, probably. Which is sad because I’m in my early 20s.
  2. Which is worse, failing or never trying? Never trying. Failing higher education may have broken me mentally and caused all my anxiety, but I’d never have learnt so much about myself if I hadn’t tried it.
  3. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? Money. There’s your simple answer!
  4. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done? Oh yes.
  5. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world? I’d get rid of dog shit. Or just dogs in general (don’t hate me, it’s just a personal preference!).
  6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich? Being a Mum.
  7. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing? I’m starting to. Not quite there yet, but I’m on the way.
  8. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? I’d have trained as a professional Nanny straight out of school and sought out a sperm donor as soon as I could afford to start a family.
  9. To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken? I’ve controlled it for the most part, but anxiety took me way off track for a while.
  10. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things? Doing the right things.
  11. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire.  They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend.  The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do? Tell them how they are totally wrong. I’d like to think that if they deserve my respect and admiration, that they would respect me back.
  12. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? Don’t rush into anything when you leave school. Make sure you really know what you want to do with your life and make the most of those opportunities.
  13. Would you break the law to save a loved one? That’s too broad a question to answer with yes or no.

  15. What’s something you know you do differently than most people? I walk on my tiptoes if I have no shoes on.
  16. How come the things that make you happy don’t make everyone happy? Because other people are too career focused, and refuse to accept that a woman might want to be a stay at home mum. I was born in the wrong decade, basically.
  17. What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? To put it bluntly, I have not ‘done’ a man who will get me pregnant.
  18. Are you holding onto something you need to let go of? Emetophobia.
  19. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? North Wales. Why? There are too many reasons. It’s fucking beautiful for one; they speak the most beautiful language in the world, and people live the life I want to live. Farm, countryside, etc.
  20. Do you push theelevator button more than once? I leave that up to other people.
  21. Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? Joyful simpleton.
  22. Why are you, you? Genetics, and a whole lotta worrying.
  23. Have you been the kind of friend you want as a friend? I wouldn’t want me as a friend at home, home, but I’d want me as a friend from when I was at uni. That doesn’t make sense, but i can’t describe it any better.
  24. Which is worse, when a good friend moves away, or losing touch with a good friend who lives right near you? When a good friend moves away.
  25. What are you most grateful for? My body. My eyesight, my hands, my ability to move so freely.
  26. Would you rather lose all of your old memories, or never be able to make new ones? Lose all of my old ones.

  30. What is your happiest childhood memory? Digging holes on the beach with my brother, and smelling of coconut sun lotion.
  31. At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive? When I ran 5k for charity. It wasn’t so much the run that did it, but more the fact that I got there and back on my own, on the London underground, without an ounce of anxiety.
  32. If not now, then when? Later?
  33. If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose? The opportunity to do it.
  34. Have you ever been with someone, said nothing, and walked away feeling like you just had the best conversation ever? Unfortunately not.
  35. <li style="padding-bottom: 3px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 3px; “>Why do religions that support love cause so many wars? Intolerance.

  36. Is it possible to know, without a doubt, what is good and what is evil? No.
  37. If you just won a million dollars, would you quit your job? HELL YES. I’m trying to change my job now anyway.
  38. Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing? More work that I actually enjoy doing.
  39. Do you feel like you’ve lived this day a hundred times before? Not this day, but I have with others.
  40. When was the last time you marched into the dark with only the soft glow of an idea you strongly believed in? Err, this time last year.
  41. If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? Close family. I’m so glad I’ve done that today, and will carry on tomorrow 🙂

  44. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right? When time is running out.
  45. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? Because making mistakes hurts and fucks things up. They’re inevitable, though.
  46. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you? I’d be more hands on and affectionate with my bf. I feel he judges me sometimes.
  47. When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing? Every night when I go to sleep, My breathing annoys me.
  48. What do you love?  Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love? I love lots of things, and I think I’ve acted on them all, in small ways.
  49. In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? It was a close relative’s birthday, a special birthday, so yes I definitely will 🙂
  50. Decisions are being made right now.  The question is:  Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you? I’m making them for myself. For definite.
