A dangerous method

This movie tells the story of the development of the method of analysis as proposed by Freud and Jung as a treatment for people with a mental illness. Keira Knightly now plays a mental patient who is the first patient on whom this method is tried. Jung puts Freud’s theory into practice. In theory the movie good have been interesting, but in practice it turns out pretty boring. Keira’s acting is over the top when she tells about how she was beaten as a child and how it sexually aroused her. The philosophical discussions and arguments between Freud and Jung may be interesting academically speaking, but for a movie aimed at a general audience it does not become interesting. Only for students of psychology the story may provide material as a discussion starting point, but for others it is better to spend your time watching something else.
