Go On, Ask Me Anything….

Okay, so I’m trying to write more in here, but I’m lacking things to write about. So… I’m opening myself up to questions. Ask anything you want, up to five questions. Nothing is off limits. To get you all thinking about what you might like to ask, here’s a long and random survey I found.

*Are you single or taken? Single

*Who do you live with? Currently, no one. Over the summer, I’ll live with my parents and in the fall, I’ll be living with Kelly.

*What do you do for school and work? I’m majoring in music performance. I work as a church musician and my summer job is at a camp, part of The Fresh Air Fun.

*What music do you listen to the most? Recently, its been classical and music from the 70s.

*Virgin or not? Not so much.

*Name your 3 closest friends. Megan, Manny, and Sarah

*Which one is your very best friend? Its a close match between Megan and Manny

*Your skin…is it fair, medium or dark? Fair – Its all the Scottish blood.

*How often do you really “go out”? Every other week or so.

*Have you ever lost anyone you loved? Yes. And it still hurts.

*Ever been in love? Yes. That hurts too.

*On a scale of 1-5 how organized are you? Negative 8? I have my moments.

*Do you excercise regularly? If so, how often? I try to bike to school more than drive and use my little machine thing at least once a day. But its not excat.

*Have any nick names? If so, what? Lady Lobster, Pleasure Princess, Babe

*Name a couple of T.V. shows you watch regularly. House, Burn Notice and recently Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy

*Movie(s) you can watch over and over: Titan A.E., Boondock Saints, Hook, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Love Actually, The Princess Bride, Serenity

*Do you have tattoos? Not yet!

*Any piercings? If yes, how many and where are they? Yes, two holes in each ear.

*Wear glasses? Only when my contacts aren’t in.

*Have braces? Never!

*Do you have siblings? Nope!

*Are your parents still together? Yes – 31 years this June!

*Favorite color? green and purple

*Favorite Holiday? I’m not really all that keen on holidays…

*Where, outside of the U.S. would you like to visit? I’d like to re-visit Scotland. But otherwise, Norway or Finland or Sweden.

*Do people tell you that you act older, younger, or your age? Depends on who I’m with and how I’m acting. Also depends on if they know my age! 😉

*Ever have an imaginary friend as a child? Yes and his name was Sallie.

*Ever been skinny dipping? Nope.

*Did/Do you enjoy highschool for the most part? For the most part, yeah. I look back on those four years fondly. Although some of the hardest things I’ve ever dealt with happened then.

*Have you ever cheated in a relationship? No, but I did have the opportunity.

*What’s your definition of cheating? Its whatever you wouldn’t want the person you were with to find out about. Its doing something with someone else that you know would upset your partner. For different people, that’s different lines. I wouldn’t want my boyfriend to kiss another girl as more than a friend. I wouldn’t want him to sleep with her. If I did those things, I would feel like I cheated on him too.

*Do you wear pajamas to places other than at your house? Sometimes. I’ve worn pjs to the supermarket, to class, to pick up or drop off people. Just depends on the situation I guess.

*Ever been in any legal trouble? One speeding ticket and getting pulled over a few times. Oh, and the time I almost got arrested for trespassing by the train tracks. But they let us go.

*Do you regret anything? Lots of things.

*Name 5 of the most important things in your life. My parents, my friends, my oboe, my English horn, my faith

*Do you take showers in the morning or at night more? Usually in the morning

*Do you trust easily? Not in the least bit!

*Any phobias? Not too fond of spiders. Or swimming in deep water. Or not being able to play music for the rest of my life.

*Are you a heavy or light sleeper? Depends on what I did before I went to sleep. I lean a bit more on the heavy side. But, like my mother, I’ve nearly perfected to ability to wake up at a noise and fall back to sleep a moment later. For example, when my dad goes out on a fire call, both she and I will wake up but then go back to sleep.

*Any disorders you’ve actually been diagnosed with (O.C.D., A.D.D…)? This past year, I was diagnosed with PTSD. And its been over five years since they diagnosed me with bipolar II.

*Are you a morning person? Only when I’ve stayed up all night.

*Sunrise or sunset? Depends on how long I’ve been awake. I don’t like either when I’ve just woken up.

*Ever had surgery? If having your wisdom teeth removed counts…

*Ever come close to death? Closer than I would have liked.

*Ever broken any bones? Yeah, broken toes.

*When you die, would you rather be buried or cremated? Buried, I guess. But I’ll be dead, so what will it matter to me?

*3 physical features you get complimented on a lot: My smile, my hands, my laugh

*Your least favorite feature: My whole body

*Clothing store you shop at the most: Lane Bryant

*What is/are your heritage(s)? Mostly Scottish, and a little English and German

*What is your religion or do you not really have one? I’m a Christian. Denomination-wise, I was raised in a Christian Reformed Church, then we moved to a Dutch Reformed Church. I’m now working at a Lutheran church. I can’t say I believe excatly everything any of those denominations offer.

*Ever been cheated on? Not that I know of.

*Ever had a one night stand? If so, how many and do you regret any of them? Yes. I’ve actually had three of them, but one turned into a long, complicated (non-exclusive) relationship, so I’m not sure it can be considered a one-night stand. It was at the time it happend. Out of the other two, I do regret them. One more than the other. One immediately after it happened (I mean, like moments after we were done). The other… Its complicated. 😉

*Current friend that you have known the longest: I’d probably say Ryan. Although there are a number of adult friends who have known me since birth. I think of those people more like extensions of my family, not just friends.

*Name someone you can tell just about anything to. Currently – and this is a bit of a surprise to me – Mouse. Even though I’ve known her less than two years and only really got to know her this past semester.

*Sweet or Sour? Sweet

*Are any of your close friends married? Do they have children? Yes to both – and one of them is already divorced too.

*Have you ever taken any antidepressants or anxiety medication? Yes. The antidepressants were how they found out I was bipolar.

*Ever seen a therapist? Yes, a couple different ones actually.

*Did/do you transfer schools a lot? I went to one elementary school, one junior high, one high school and I’m on college (for undergrad) number 3!

*Favorite animal to have as a pet: Dog – specifically I want a Sheltie or a rescue greyhound.

*How many floors does your home have? How many bedrooms and bathrooms? My apartment currently is one floor, two bedrooms (one I use as an office), one bathroom. My parent’s house is two floors (plus attic), five bedrooms (one is an office there too), two bathrooms. My apartment for next year is two floors, two bedrooms and 1 and 1/2 bathrooms.

*Do you live in a neighborhood or in the middle of nowhere? I live in a neighborhood that is in the middle of nowhere.

*Favorite food: Big messy burgers

*Do you like to shop? I have to be in the right mood.

*How often do you go online? Multiple times a day. I use AIM like an answering machine and I need to be checking my email a few times a day.

*How sexual are you on a scale of 1-10? If 1 is someone who never wants anything ever and 10 is someone who can never get enough – I’m probably about a 5 or 6. If the scale is how often – then the answer is I’ve been flying solo for a while now. 😉

*Something or someone you miss the most from childhood: I miss Sallie. I miss innocence. I miss rose-colored glasses. I miss how much I was taken care of.

*Have you ever slept with somone 10 years or more older than you? Over 10 years younger? Well 10 years younger would mean I’ve slept with someone under 14 – and so that’s a definite no. As for the other one, Mike is only 4 years older and that’s the widest age gap.

*Are you usually late, early or right on time? I’m usually late.

*You will be stranded on a deserted island for an unspecified amount of time and may bring 3 people to live on this island with you. Who will you bring along? A chef, a cook and Megan.

*If you had an opportunity to raise an exact duplicate of yourself, would you? Why or why not? No, because I like being the only me.

*If you were granted the power to heal any 1 affliction, what would it be and why? Stupidity because by curing stupidity, I bet we could get rid of a lot of other afflictions.

*You’ve just won 10 million dollars and the money is in your bank account? How will you spend your first day as a millionaire?
Paying off my debts, setting up trusts to avoid as much taxes as possible, putting enough away that I’ll be good until I’m dead and then budgeting the rest into friends, family, and random things I want. Maybe even look into investing some! Yeah – I’m a realistic loser. In my fantasy world – I’d pay off debts and go on a massive spending spree that would include oboe and music supplies. I’d also buy as many duplicates of my car as I could find. So when one finally dies, I can just start using the other one!

*You have $25,000 that you must spend to one person. Who woud you spend it on and what would you buy them?
If it can’t be me… I would put it into a trust for my cousin’s college. Her dad sucks with money and she’s really afraid she won’t be able to go to college because of it. At fourteen years old, that is her fear!

*You’ve been elected president and before you lies a bill to legalize marijuana…do you sign it? Yes.

*Name at least one person you would die for and do you believe there is someone that would die for you? I’m trying imagine myself in a position where it would be my life or someone else’s – with the decision being in my hands. Honestly, its hard to think about. I would die for my parents, but I’m pretty sure they would die for me too. I would die for any of my friends, though I don’t know if all of them would be willing to die to me.

*You’ve just found $10,000 cash in a duffel bag on the side of the interstate. What do you do with it?
I’d turn it into the cops. It’s either dirty, dangerous, or really missed by those who lost it. If its one of the first two – they probably won’t claim it, so I’d eventually get it back. If its the last, I’d much rather they have it. Maybe they’ll be nice enough to drop me a hundred or even a $20!
