……Still Teasing……

I’m still computerless, and now school has started. I’m going to have to go to Best Buy and kill any credit I have left to get a new laptop soon cause school has started and I have papers due soon. My parents don’t even have a computer I can bum around on for a while. Gah. But lots has happened. I miss everyone and I miss OD. I was going through withdrawal and now I’m doing better, but I still miss it terribly. My life, never far from dull, is going along and things are going along. I’ve been keeping a written journal these past few weeks and once I get my computer I’m going to back enter everything thats going on in my life. Try to bring myself up to speed. But not right now.
Go back and read the last entry. Thats where all the fun is right now.

God bless the President of the United States and God save the United States. You can’t do both, so for pity’s sake, get rid of Bush! ~Anonymous

Hi Rory, It’s great to hear from you! RYN: I kinda have to disagree with you to some degree. I agree that on 9/11 the poor sods in the building had no warning. The rescue workers had no idea of what was going to happen, neither did the population in general. The Government did have some degree of warning regarding terrorist cells within the states that they chose to ignore, although I do concede…

that there was little they could have done to prevent those attacks even if they knew exactly what was going to happen. There is a big difference though between a terrorist attack and predicting a natural event in an area that has regular storms and is below sea level. They knew that one day they were going to be hit by a big storm and taking into account the geographic location the kind…

of damage that would be caused from a storm of that magnitude. They should have been prepared for that storm whenever it came in regards to rescue efforts, food storage, tent shelter, back up energy generators etc, medical supplies etc. They simply weren’t. As for not knowing about this particular storm, Australian media was reporting 4 days out from Katrina hitting…

that they were expecting a force 4 or 5 hurricane in the New Orleans and Mississippi areas. In fact they had enough time for reporters to obtain working visas, make a 24 hour flight and base themselves in the areas prior to the storm hitting. If we knew all this four days out from the event someone on your side of the world must have seen it coming. If your authorities chose not to pass that…

on, well that is even more disgraceful than not being prepared. There certainly was enough time to get supplies in and as many people out as possible. The hurricane still would of happened and the death toll would still be high but the severity certainly would have been reduced. Anyway…this is just my perspective from someone looking in from the outside. Yay for you getting a computer!!

“Interview me!”

Hey Rory. Sorry it took me a while to reply to your note. I only use the computer when I’m at work. The inserts between the text of my entry “Have You Forgotten?” are the lyrics to a country song. And thanks for the encouraging words. We definitely need more people like you out there. Take care and much love. xo Sydney xo
