i can seperate you out
like vinegar from water
watch the colors dancing
and i’ll slip away

the holes in my sheets
let the light slip in
the cold forms goose pimples
like the words you forgot

purple and crystal nights
the steady drum of life
when the crickets whisper
and the river beckons me

light on the water
leading a pathway home
over the metal barrier
into the freedom and space
