You look at me as though this is suppose to be my fault
Well go ahead and blame me for everything again
It is all you have ever done and its what you know
I suppose I could hate you for that but I can’t
You are this creature created that way
I can’t change you with a wish and a kiss
Even the genie under my bed won’t try
There are some things written in the stars
Things that can not be changed no matter what
Destinys written long ago and fulfilled in my present
You act like you are the only one hurting
I have news for you, you immortal being

Promises made with words and tied up with ribbon
Burned in a flash and disappear as quick as sulpher
Did you ever think this would kill me too?
I suppose not or else we wouldn’t stand here hating

More broken ribbons
More shattered hearts
Don’t look at me with pity or sorrow
In fact don’t look at me anymore
Stop peering through six feet of dirt
