Back to normal

It’s been weeks since I have tried to post an entry.  OD looks hopeful this morning, though, so here I am.

Way back on Sept. 15 I hauled Papa to the ER with a 104 degree fever, and life has been a roller coaster every since.  Now, 11+ weeks later, I finally feel like we might return to our normal life around here.  Yeh, sure!  With Christmas only a blink of the eye away!  Well, maybe after that we can get back to normal.

The weather has been beautiful here on the front range, but sounds like there is a big front moving in.  We are looking for snow and very cold temps to arrive this afternoon and hang around for several days.  Guess I’d better make a run to the store for TP and such this morning.

I will be going to my writing group in an hour or so.  Then to the salon for a hair cut.  This afternoon it’s the blood pressure clinic and later we are having a program at our event center given by a former Denver Bronco player who’s mom just happens to be a resident in the complex.  Guess he is selling a book he wrote about student athletes…might make a Christmas gift for the grandson…hum……

Speaking of the grandson, he is a sophomore this year at Columbine HS.  He is taking a few honors classes and is on the wrestling team. (They have their first matches tomorrow, but we won’t be able to go watch.  It’s our Fab 50’s Holiday Dinner Dance and I’m sure the sky would fall if we missed that, right?)  He is really enjoying his wood working class but had to give up orchestra because of his busy schedule this year.  He will not give up music on his own, though.  He loves it too much.  This summer he made a mandolin to add to his collection of stringed instruments.

I’d better close this out and see if it will post…

What a shame he had to give up orchestra. Hope your life does get back to normal after Christmas 🙂

It is sad to have to sacrifice something you really enjoy. But hopefully next year he can get back into orchestra. Enjoy your Dinner Dance. The sky many not fall, but it may get dark and cloudy.

I’m glad to hear your life is returning to normal. Hope you both stay happy and healthy.
