80 degrees yesterday…

…..35 degrees tomorrow.  Oh, yeah, and 5" inches of snow to go with it.  Will this winter ever go away? 

     Dentist today for my permanent crown.  Hopefully that will be it for awhile, anyhow.  Can’t believe how my teeth have fallen apart in the last year.  If my bones are doing that, I’m in big trouble.

     My computer is in the shop this week, so I’m using my (really) old one.  Was glad I could fine OD on it.  No facebook, though.  I need to get the Fab 50’s newsletter out, but don’t want to start from scratch, so have decided to wait until the other one gets back.  Won’t be too late, I hope.

     I got most of the winter’s dirt off the deck furniture yesterday and sat out there for a while, watching the people and dogs run, trot, power walk and/or stroll around the lake.  And the birds!  I have a pair of Audobon’s warblers in a pine tree just below the deck.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of these before.  So colorful.  So happy.  Love it.  And there are the finches flitting around and singing their little hearts out.  And down on the ground the robins and gackles cluck and chatter.  The geese are gone now (thank God) but there are a few ducks swimming around on the lake.  One day there was a white pelican out there, but he must have just been passing through.

     Got my curtains up and hung a couple of metal sculptures of tree branches w/leaves in the bare spot on the wall.  I like the look.  Feels more like home now.  And I can shut the sun out of the bedroom if I want to sleep in.

     Need to get moving now and get my walk in before the cold front hits.
