appeals are normal from what I hear. they tend to be jerks and figure if you appeal you really deserve it.

From everything that I have heard, they reject ALL claims the first time through. they rejected my moms, she had ALZHEIMERS. Yeah, good luck getting her to work. *shakes head* I was up in arms, livid, ready to fight. Then I found out, that is what they do. They reject it, to filter out people I guess?? Keeping fighting, don’t give up, that is what they want. *hugs*

Appeals are really normal, and you have a good chance of winning on appeal, especially if you see new doctors who confirm the original diagnoses. Look on the National Fibromyalgia site for recommendations for local doctors, there must be someone near you who can help. Also, please try to get set up with a sleep study, it can make such a good difference in your life to get that figured out, and Iknow you haven’t slept right for years–just like I was! Please take care of yourself. *hugs*

http://www.fmaware.org then follow the links to the membership. It costs $25 for the good membership, but it is really worth it, you get so many good resources. There is a list of doctors who are fibro friendly, once you are registered you can go to the doctor list, then your state, and go from there. Good luck!

The SSDI people always turn it down on the first go. ALWAYS. Stay with it, it took my suit YEARS to go through channels, but eventually it did, after turn down and appeals.
