Ads on the OD plus pages

One of my favorites noticed that she has an ad for ring tones on her front page when she is not logged in and looking at her diary.

I noticed this as well, a couple of weeks ago before the Hack. I even sent a ticket to the OD staff about it as I was sure when I signed up for OD plus that it meant NO ads for not only me when I am logged in, but for anyone else viewing my page weather they are subscribers, plus or free or not a member of OD at all. I still have not received a reply to my inquiry.

I wanted to see if the ad was still there, and sure enough it is. Located on the left hand margin. Here is a screen shot I took of my diary front page before I logged in:

Ok, I know there are much more pressing items at hand right now, but it is annoying. Why pay for ad free service if it is not truly ad free?

I am slowly getting discouraged with OD. I hope things straiten out soon or they will loose my faith in the product all together.

When you’re not logged in, you’re in FOD. At least that’s the way I understood it. Once you log in, then you’re in paid OD. So while you’re not logged in, you’ll still see ads. Know what I mean? The paid services start after you log into it. That’s what I was trying to say.

I hope they get rid of it. I don’t care how small it is – it’s not meant to be there! The DM agreed that there wouldn’t be any ads as long as we kept paying 🙁 (huggles)

the ad isn’t showing up over there for me and I’m free OD…maybe it’s just people not signed in at all it does that too?

I have a paid OD subscription too, and I get ads inbetween pages for like matchmaking sites and passion sites while the real OD page loads. It ticks me off and I sent an inquiry to the OD well before the attack…what’s happening to OD?

Ahhh, youre right! Ive seen that ad before too when I wasnt logged in, not on my own diary because you have to be logged in to read that, but on others, Im sure some of them were OD Plus members because they had a C authorcode. I didnt even realise!
