Ok I promise

Not to write an entry with the title OMG OMG OMG again until I go into labor. 🙂

Lets talk fabric!

I got the fabric for my cushions, curtains and table topper… Tell me what you think…

This was a sheet set.

Fish swimming in the ocean – For the cushions and I am not sure what else….

Colors Colors Colors (accent colors of course)

I Let the bottom sheet (stripes above) be my guide as to what the valance was to look like. I took all the elastic and stiching out and it gave the v pattern. I added the extra Vs in the middle. I think it still needs a bit of oomf… Any thoughts on what I can do with the other fabrics I have shown you above to make this more dramatic?

Third entry for today

I love the fabrics, especially the bright colors! I think you should use one of the bright colored fabrics to make long curtains on each side of the window, and leave the striped section just as you have it, as an accent.

Yeah! You have to take pics of whatever you decide to do. The room is so cute already! =)

She’s crafty. 🙂 (just call me the beastie boys). 🙂 I hate it when my sewing machine locks up. Putting it away and looking at it in the morning always works for me.

what about making some “fishy” pillows???? or what about drapes on both sides of the window? you can use the fabric as a backdrop type thing in a frame (get an over sized frame and let the fabric show around the picture) you could also frame some of it??? kinda like pannels on the wall… i LOVE the fabrics!

Above noter is right, need some side pieces to that window. Too bad paint doesn’t stick well on blinds, you could paint fishies on the blinds :-). I say use the purple to make a ‘scarf’ type thing to go down the sides of the window. Just screw little hooks into the top edge of the window near the curtain and you can drape a little scarf right down each side. Easy and no more sewing on the machine.

You could use one of the accent colors to make 2-3″ wide stripes to border the V’s?

I would take the yellow, green, purple and make some small panels for the bottom half of the window to go with the valance so you can open up the blinds and let light in, but still have some privacy, if really ambitious, make the bottom into strips on each small panel so they will float in any air current in the room, like ribbons. just a thought. Take care.

I keep picturing the gold fabric on that window, hun. Either a double drape at the top with a fish-thing at each end of the curtain rod, or ordinary curtains hanging down (maybe held back by a fish-thing).

I like the designs on the fabric.
