What kind of day will it be?

I don’t know. But I can tell you I have a lot to do today and had a lot to do yesterday. Did anything get done yesterday? Not really.

Sis was supposed to come over after work but she got involved with other things. YIKES only the shower is Saturday. I still have to scrub the kitchen down and some minor other projects. UGH. She said she is coming over tonight around 5 though. Fingers crossed.

Dad dropped the glider and ottoman off yesterday. I did not even know he was here. He told mom he knocked and knocked but I did not hear him. I went to start some laundry and the gider and ottoman was sitting in the car port. Time to get out a hand sanding thingee as dad took the mouse sander back. Oh well. I decided to get a SMALL can of primer per y’alls advice.

I decided to go on line and see if I could find any deals on carpet at Lowe’s and I found a sale! 12’ wide Berber carpet for $5.42 a linear foot! I will need 10’ of it since the room is 9.5’ wide and 12’ long. WOOT – WOOT – WOOT carpet the room for 30 bucks less than I had planned!!! We will be getting the carpet on prolly Sunday. Hopefully I can have the rocker finished by then so we can put the carpet down and start putting the furniture back in the room.

I also need to get to Michael’s crafts to see about fish stamps or stencils. I saw a really cute idea on the Style Network’s show Area. They did a fish themed room and stamped fish on the wall instead of using a wallpaper border. I really like that idea so I need to see if I can find some fish stamps or stencils. Also I want to check on the wooden letters to spell Autumn’s name on the wall. I have a feeling they will be pretty expensive. I still have a ton of ply wood left from fixing the armoire, I may just make my own!

So today, as soon as I get off my lazy butt and get dressed, I am going to Lowe’s to get the primer, Michael’s to check on fish stamps and wooden letters, then sanding down the chair and priming it, then my friend Babsie is coming over with her two kids to help me clean for a bit I may have us work outside if it is nice – you know pick up trash and stuff like that. Her daughter S is so cute! Three weeks old tomorrow. And she is still super tiny too. LOL Then I have my next OB appointment at 3:30 I believe. Then my Sis is coming over at 5 and we are going to knock out what ever is left to do in the house. (Except for my room – which I am working on a little at a time)

I have been trying to get a hold of cathouse_colony to see if she is still coming down on Friday for the marathon sewing session before the shower.

My mom and Sis said that they have not heard from many people on the RSVP. I don’t think there will be that many people at my shower since most everyone I have invited to actually attend the shower lives so far away. That is why the web cast… Good for mom – she does not have to make so much food, I guess. LOL But I am sad that so far out of the local people not one person I had on my list (moving on you are not included in this statement as I knew ahead of time you could not make it for due to work obligations) has RSVPed to the affirmative. In fact only 2 local people have RSVPed at all. I envision a repeat of my High School graduation party. Yep no one showed up. So if you go to the web cast and see me and my mom, sister, hubby and dad as the only ones there – you will most likely see me crying too. LOL

OK well I should get this mind and body moving. I need to dress, eat and get MOVING. Squeeze myself into the car and go to Lowe’s and Michael’s.
